Good Call, Bad Call

Post: # 1048681Post dcstkfc »

Was a bit of fun last year, thought I'd start it up again.

Format: Each subsequent poster should answer the previous question, and then give a new one.

I'll start it up: Adam Schneider should move into the midfield to bolster St Kilda's ability to win the clearances.

Good call, bad call?

bad call - need him all over the ground.

Zac should get match fit via vfl for a few games.

Borderline call, but probably a bad call DesertSaint.
Zac should be match fit having already played several praccy games for Sandy. So if there is a vacancy he should be given a chance.

The Club should pro-actively encourage all our players who are signed up with Ricky Nixon's Flying Jocks to find a new manager.

Bad call EM: it's up to the registration process (flawed though it is) to determine Nixon's future as a player manager. It would be prejudicial and unfair for the club to make an earlier, separate judgement on Nixon.

Posters on SS have written McQualter off too soon? Good call or bad call?

Bad call

He must be written first, before he is written off.....hes a battler, good fellow, has a dip, not hopeless.....but his flaws outweigh his benefits...
Good ressies captain in old speak....

Have our first round dp's development stalled through lack of game time opportunity.....mcevoy, armitage, lynch, lovett

Dont understand lovett being there... Dont know how much game time one can have while sacked from the club.

...but GOOD call. All players improve through elevation. BUT players get games on performance and opportunity. While at the top opportunity lacks, and concurrently performance has not warranted games.

So the impact has been a naturally occurring one. And one that happens when teams are successful.

Sam Crocker will make his debut this year. And eventually develop into a top line mid with a suburb long left foot!

Justin Koschitzke needs to improve immensely or not play at all.
Good call, im not giving you the option of good call or bad call....its a good call the end.

Bad call on the debut this year, few ahead of him I think but an outside chance. And bad call on top-line mid, because he'll play as a gun forward too much! Looks a player though, but early days indeed.

If it came down to a choice between Brett Peake and Jamie Cripps for a Round 1 spot, Cripps should get the nod. Good call, bad call?

BAD CALL. Far too early for this year's draft picks to get a go. Don't think that Peakey will get a guernsey either though.

---------

Kosi's days as a full forward are numbered because of his lack of 'defensive pressure'.

Bad call: I think you might be judging him on his 2010 season when he was struggling with an ankle injury.

We should have done to more to keep at least two of our assistant coaches especially Steve Silvagni.

Good call.

Not much you can do with the AFL waving a rather fat chequebook.
Plus SOS has a much "less intense" position now...

Caroline Wilson has a head like a half sucked twistie.

A half sucked twistie has some character and integrity.

Mike Sheahans top 50 is boring, trite, and means nothing.

Bad call. He's a Herald Sun man and Sheahan has the top fifty slot well and truly iced.

Dempster will be the breakout man in 2011. G or B?

unfortunately it's a bad call. he's 27 and been around for long enough that i just can't see him breaking through now - usually a breakthrough year comes with an improvement in fitness, but he was already pretty fit. i just think it's too late for the penny to drop.

dean polo will play twelve to fifteen games this year - good call or bad call?

Dean Polo to play 10 to 15 games this season... Bad Call. Would mean too many others are not up to scratch.

Jason Blake will be overtaken by Zac Dawson, Sean Dempster and Raph Clarke and may struggle to get a regular game. Good call, bad call?

Bad Call

Blake is in great form this preseason, seen no signs that suggest he is easing off.

We will beat the Bombers in 2011?

Good call of course. It means we are on track.

Walsh gets elevated for Gards - good call, bad call?

Unlikely call. Jack Steven will play 22 games and be the new Robert Harvey after all.

bad call. robert harvey was a superstar of the game. jack steven is struggling with injury and consistency. he reminds me more of ben cousins, when he is fit.

good call, bad call. gardi and baker will retire at the end of the year.
