Scarlett accosting Roo

Post: # 1051757Post Sainternist »

A caller on SEN seemed to think that Scarlett did some cowardly things, to the extent of being reportable incidents and was the reason for Roo coming off the ground in the second quarter(?).

Anyone care to attest to this observation?

picked up on video - away from the play. Would seem to be obvious.

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

He smacked Roo about 5 years ago the same about 100m behind the play and the AFL said inconclusive video footage, he is a dog.

The footy shows tomorrow morning will give a fair indication as to whether it was reportable or not (I didn't see it). Besides, I'm far more interested in the Farren Ray-Selwood clash as it has a bearing on OUR club !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

at worst a reprimand ... Ray did everything he could to avoid the contact both were going for the ball ... selwood is just lucky it was a rare occasion where he didnt duck his head otherwise the hit could of been much much worse

Scarlett blatantly and forcefully elbowed an unsuspecting Riewoldt in the ribs 100m off the ball. Should be 2 weeks. Stokes has nothing to answer though, was a careless free kick but no malice in it.

Faz should be okay. Selwood even said (via twitter) that he felt there was no malice on Ray's behalf.

comes down to points. Ray will get a week, negligent, high in play guilty plea and good record will either be a week or just under.

Scarlett is an ordinary bloke ( see his commetns to harves in 2008 after 1st final) . Guaranteed they will say not enough to be a strike.. remember Judd broke Pavs cheek and won a brownlow.

You are not saying Scarlett is a 'Dan Kerr' are you??

He is like Kerr but much lighter in color. In fact I'd say he had an unnatural or sickly pallor.

That would make him a Wan Kerr.

So how come they don't seem to be showing this footage on the news bulletins (or did I just miss it)?

If it was Baker, it would be replayed at every newsbreak.

frasier actually got a game for one if i remember right.

scarlett has to go
if baker can get two weeks for cracking someone on the hand because its injured then thats worth 12 ffs.
afl said they want to stamp out unsportsman like acts....so lets see them keep enforcing what baker was used as a patsy for.

What may also be of interest to the MRP is the footage of Roo afterwards going off and clearly showing distress. MRP clearly has an agenda regarding the impact on the player in relation to how serious thay take it.
