Dal.....we need you now...
While the calls seem out for Armo to step into the void left by Lenny...to me the mid we most need to step up back to what he was is Dal.
Dal was feared by opposition supporters but now they rarely mention him.
I am mentioning Dal over players like Joy who also need to step up because IMO Dal has the abilityty to be a Top 10 AFL player.
Now in truth we need the whole midfield group to step up, including for Armo to bloom. But to have a good year I believe that Dal needs to have an elite year.
Dal has the talent..and so what we need now is not just a good year from Dal...but an elite year.
BJ also needs to needs to play more in the middle.... but if it is left to BJ to carry us we will just get the GF2 type games all over again where BJ is blocked and bumped unmercifully while his team-mates are not shouldering their share of the load.
Come on Dal...your time needs to now.

I thought he could have done better to be honest, but yes we need more from the bottom six (and a few of the top 12)Junction Oval wrote:Dal played well against Richmond. Needs to maintain this.
Our bottom six is where the improvement needs to be made and new blood given an opportunity to perform.
Foot skills and better forward entry are also needed.
Dal was very serviceable on Friday. His work in keeping his feet in traffic is invaluable as he can clear the ball with accurate foot and hand skills.
He is definitely a different player to when he commenced as he does a lot more inside work. To say he isn't feared is wrong because opposition have to play him closely or else he can find space and create play.
I wish Gram was as consistent at Dal (and could dispose of the ball half as well).

To accomplish great things we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe.
