Thread of the positive
Since being bundled out of the 2010 premiership race our club has been has smashed from pillar to post be that through the media, the general public....anywhere.
Even here on the fan site we have began self destructing. We've all had a crack, except for the more saintly. I've had a crack at certain players ruck abilities, individuals have been singled out.
I think it's time we start focusing on the things that have made the team what they are and the things we can move forward with.
here's a start
1/ Introduction of new faces to an almost exclusive club - Archer, Smith
2/ Smith's efforts last week have all but gone unnoticed - excellent debut
If we don't get at least 6 pages here we are not doing to good

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Sainter for life.
Are we clutching at straws????
I can barely think of a thing thats gone right since gf1
Off season.....horrendous
Draft......we had not list manager going into draft, picked up a kid, then found out he had diebetes??? Not a massive issue, accept the fact it was not known...
Pre season.....failure, not because of results, but what was achieved
Seaon.....disaster sor far, we look inept
Positive, its football
Every week is a new opportunity to suceed, create history.....

Do some research. Type 1 diabetes is progressive. The are factors that can bring it on quickly and there can be no way of knowing prior that the person has the condition, short of a battery of tests at a hospital.BigMart wrote:Draft......we had not list manager going into draft, picked up a kid, then found out he had diebetes??? The three elements of "control" for type 1 diabetes are:
Food
Exercise
Insulin
So changes in any of the above elements can cause problems.
So from all reports, Jamie was fine until arriving at the club.
The increase in his exercise load may have brought it on quicker causing him to become ill and fatigued.
After being diagnosed with diabetes, it can take around 6 months to learn how your body reacts to different foods or levels of exercise.
Also type 1 diabetes is not to be confused with type 2. Totally different.
On your other thoughts, I agree with that our off and pre-seasons have been horrendous.
But its a long season. I expect that there is a lot of fight in our boys. Bring on the lions.

I can see heaps of positives. The team needs reinvigorating and there are some good young players ready to take a spot from anyone that doesn't want one. As for Cripps, we didn't go Judd because the guy had shoulder issues? I don't care if he is missing an arm as long as he can play, give the guy 3 seasons and then write him off. We did ok from the draft for no list manager.
We are 2 wins from just middling along until making a late season charge. Hopefully Essendon will fall apart when Bomber bangs all the players wives and Hirdy has an affair with any of the WAGS that are left. Collingwood will crawl so far up their own rectums that the HGH will effect their brains, thus mistaking each other for vulnerable young women. That just leaves a bunch of other coasting teams to beat.

Remove the last minute of the Geelong and Richmond games, and Saintsational would be a very different place.
Though I did wince when I initially saw Essendon the week before the bye, I had no suspicion that the place would be this depressed.
It really wouldn't take much to arrest the slide and get back to creating some fear in our opponents... but 2 weeks of reflection on the Essendon game really doesn't fill one with optimism.
