Geez we have short memories,if we were to pay BJ and Roo based on your above comments, then we would be in serious debt to the both of them for a very long time!!!thejiggingsaint wrote:If there's a problem for BJ and Roo having "heartbreak syndrome" or whatever label the media are putting on it, and its just TOO hard to lift for games, I have a simple solution: adjust their salaries to reflect their performances! ie: Every clanger/free kick given away is docked from the wage. BJ cost us the game aka "Princess Goddard"

So you want Roo and BJ to pay for every clanger they make
At least he often hit his teammates with passes and handballs. Have a good damn look at Baker, Blake, Mcqualter, Jones and Zac in action recently. Week after week they are butchering the ball causing so many costly turnovers. Also has there been a worse display in half a game for us that what Clarke dished up on Monday?
I would rather BJ get 20 or so touches that that awful five players I mentioned between them. Roo was ok in the second half and also BJ showed some signs as well then. What a joke when some want them dropped.

surely, he'll snap out of it sooner or later.desertsaint wrote:never seen bj so emotionally flat as monday. saw him well beaten in marking comps, sometimes pushed out - not a curse or snarl from his lips. looks a beaten man.

Each training report I've read during the year has had him leaving the track very early or just jogging laps.
100% fit players tend to be involved in all training sessions and drills.
I am afraid that last comment is far from the truth these days. Many players leave the track early or dont train at all because of loading issues these days. I could pretty much guess that BJ is pretty fit at the moment.

Thread topic edited after reading your post.
Hopefully BJ will read this thread and give us the big middle finger with an inspired performance on Sunday.

unnceccessary thread title change, imo.
ffs, it's 6 games into the season. many great players have had form slumps.
i'm far more concerned about the mediocre players not being delisted after last year (even after 2009) and being selected week after week. it makes me fear about common sense not prevailing by the conclusion of 2011 and RL will be still flogging dead horses.

What mediocre players should have been delisted in 2009 that are still at the club.Sainternist wrote:unnceccessary thread title change, imo.

So you think McQualter should have been delisted at the end of 2009?Sainternist wrote:Dempster and McQualter come to mind.plugger66 wrote:What mediocre players should have been delisted in 2009 that are still at the club.Sainternist wrote:unnceccessary thread title change, imo.

Yeah. I'm wondering if by playing him makes any sense if he is infact carrying a mystery injury.markp wrote:Very possibly carrying an injury... and he's earned a pass.

Dempster has had only one poor game this year, I am glad he didn't go anywhere.Sainternist wrote:Dempster and McQualter come to mind.plugger66 wrote:What mediocre players should have been delisted in 2009 that are still at the club.Sainternist wrote:unnceccessary thread title change, imo.

Murphy was destroying us Monday night, then he met Sean.
Not sure what some players have to do to endear themselves to people.
He isn't a superstar, but he's an extremely focused and hard worker, and very good at performing his role.
i'm slowly warming to him.....he's been okay the past three weeks imho....SainterK wrote: Dempster has had only one poor game this year, I am glad he didn't go anywhere.

The reason for Goddard falling away is that teams realised he was killing them from the backline. He now is tagged as a rebound kick from defence. He copped Delidio against the Tiges and Gibbs in the Blues game. He is being payed a lot more respect and it is frustrating and reduces his output. Heart break bulls*** just played so well last year he is now getting found out by a grade players reducing his ability to get into space.

sure, he has been a useful stopper at times. does have a fair work ethic, but his skills - particularly disposal - can be pretty ordinary. makes errors similar to the ones of blake. if we're winning a game by less than a goal with seconds to go, the ball is deep in our defensive end and the ball is in his possession, i will be fearing the worst. just saying.stinger wrote:i'm slowly warming to him.....he's been okay the past three weeks imho....SainterK wrote: Dempster has had only one poor game this year, I am glad he didn't go anywhere.

I don't believe he's injured.
He gets paid a bucketload and is playing like a big sook.

Donyou think it's right that someone earning half a mil a year doesn't put in like they can?
None if us should. Its bullshyte!

He is out of form for sure and I agree, doubt he is carrying an injury but to say he isnt putting in is just crap. Sometimes players go through slumps and in those times they actually may be trying to hard. If anything that could be BJ's problem but not putting isnt one of them.saintspremiers wrote:No sorry I won't.SainterK wrote:I don't usually like getting angry, but this thread title is SO crap, as was the one a fortnight ago.
