Nah, it's just so one sided they are trying to keep people interested by talking up a contest

I'm fine with them willing Freo on, but when they berate us despite being attacking and hard, I'm not happy.

Agreed.

They've been talking about how we're playing like the saints of old for the majority of the game.
Even Darcy has been fair.

They've been pretty good today.

Example

ball on wing, lynch and ballentyne contest... "well done ballentyne........."

(lynch actually tackles him, gets the hard ball and the saints are off)

Spent half the game mentioning that freo was missing their ruckman.

Was waiting for Lane to start the freo chanting.....

I think you may watch and wait for them to say something negative about us or prositive about Fremantle. But IMO they are fine and i have heard plenty of occasions of them praising our efforts

They are trying to talk up the audience for the neutrals, not for the Saints fans.

Want the neutrals to stay on board and not change channels.

Lance or James??

Tim Gossitch -

"It looks like the Saints are out of fuel" - 3 qtr time
then…
"The sun could really come into play here, we don't play many games at 1pm over here" 3qtr time - where Freo will be leading into the sun, have kicked 4 goals so far, and are 8 foals down…

What a knob.

Grover has owned Milne??? Are you effing serious Lane?

Just no credit to StK at all... all about how Freo didn't show up with any intensity.

Btw Tim Gossage is a saints supporter

Tim Lane: "Saints have kicked four goals in every quarter".

That's why we ended up on 15 goals is it?!

Yes that was a classic :-)

Look, the commetators ARE told to try and keep the game alive, JB is right, they dont want people changing channels especially leading into the news

But...Freo were eight goals down at 3/4 time..and still the level they talked up their chances was ridiculous, even dragging out the "Collingwood kicked 11 in 2/3 of a quarter last week so it can be done" comparison

Dragit - you couldn't be more wrong. Timmy Gossage is a Saints tragic and would have loved every minute of today.

The thing I like about Goss is that he never shows bias towards us. You wouldnt know he's a Saints supporter unless someone told you. Gotta respect him for that. Lane, Walls and Quarterbrain couldn't hold in their bias to save themselves.

Ok, no worries, he could be a legend…

Just that, the sun was never going to play a part in that game, if anything I thought we would have been advantaged if anything… 12 goals to 4…

nevermind… my bad

Anyone else get the distinct feeling Luke Darcy does not care for us one iota?

Even last week against Melbourne you could hear it in his voice that he hoped that Melbourne player who went down with a hamstring injury was actually ironed out by one of our players instead.

Then again nobody expects commentators to be totally unbiased

Exactly right. I thought for Ten they were pretty good today.

At one stage they made a comment similar to "trying to mount a case for Freo" but they were struggling to, purely to keep people watching the game.

Even Luke Darcy was impressed and he seemed genuinely happy with McEvoy when Big Ben started picking up and clunking the marks in the second half.
