23 points.

Not insurmountable but Geelong are a good side and when good sides get a lead on us they tend to go on with it.

Need to dispose of the ball better though.

Our skill level is deplorable. Geelongs goals are coming from unpressured turnovers.

that seems to be normal, a number of players with real poor disposal. When are we going to wake up to the fact that this must change.

Big Ben has been impressive the last few weeks...to half time 11 possessions, 14 hitouts and 3 tackles... this bloke is going to be very good

Once again Riewoldt is letting us down in a big game. I'm sorry but this guy is not a champion. Champions tend to lift in a big game.

Also, why is Gilbert still in this team? Could you imagine if Winmar, Lynch, Cripps or Ledger had played like he has in the last few weeks? They would have been automatically dropped and probably ended up getting delisted at the end of the year.

Whats the definition of madness? I'm preety sure its doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Ledger's problem is he is not old enough and this is his first club.

The effort is there and we should be much closer, but Gram, Jones, Gamble, Gilbert and co just keep turning it over. We need to move the ball much faster and more direct to give our forwards half a chance when it does get there. McEvoy, Steven, Ray, Dal and Fisher all playing well. Schneider is having an absolute shocker, but could someone tell me what the reversal was for when he was lining up for goal?

Kosi is starting to get in the game but Roo is hardly getting near it. Need a couple of quick Milney goals to get back in the game

Roo/Schneids/Milne all small game specialists!

Rubbish in big games lets face it.

I was going to mention Milne and Schneid as well. We don't even look like scoring a goal. I mean, lets be honest, Geelong arn't that great.

Gram is having a career-terminating stinker. His kicking is making Gilbo look like Goddard. I'm not sure what he adds anymore.

Positives are we are in it without contributions from the usual scorers and the efforts of Peake, Steven and the like are great to see.

What chance the Cats run out of players? Bartel gone, Kelly hampered, Vardy seeing stars...

Two quick uns in the third and we are in business here.

Effort's there. Execution is whats missing.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

Shut the door behind you so the smell don't waft back in.

Why didn't Lynch, Walsh, Willy J, Ledger get a game? Why is our coach so bloody conservative? We need to be bold and take risks!

I now want to go on record as saying it's tone for gram and Gilbert to have an extended stay at sandy until there disposal can improve.
With Bartel gone, Kelly struggling and no selwood(we have no Lenny) we won't get a better chance.

Sorry it was Duncan seeing stars.

At least Gilbert commits himself, contests, spoils and fights it out. His kicking's always been reasonably iffy.

But Gram is really in a bad place.
