Fremantle vs St. Kilda

6 Montagna (St K)

5 Dal Santo (St K)

4 Gilbert (St K)

4 Jones (St K)

3 Fisher (St K)

3 Schneider (St K)

2 Steven (St K)

2 Dempster (St K)

1 Gwilt (St K)

rare for such a wide spread. and all from one team.. but interesting that not a vote for McPharlin- unlike the ' popular media awards who thought he blanketed Nick- .. one coach would know of Roo's role the other obviuosly suspected it.

That is the strangest voting I've ever seen. Which coach gave Dal 5? And which gave him none?

Maybe neither gave him 5. I want to know which coaches gave Gilbert and Jones 4 and none.
It is certain that one of them gave him 5.

compared to media votes- ( shows how they don't see it as football departments do)

the Age
FREMANTLE v ST KILDA
Simon White
Nick Dal Santo (St Kilda) 8
Sam Fisher (St Kilda) 8
Sam Gilbert (St Kilda) 7
Clinton Jones (St Kilda) 7
Luke McPharlin (Fremantle) 7

did anyone see the herald sun - or Footy Show votes?

You realise how important Montagna is when you see that. He is a run and carry player that is really hard to replace. Gram and Peake probably have the same output combined. It is a hard ask against the cats without him. He has missed a few this year so along with Lenny and Dal Santo down back, it makes us either unpredictable or undermanned. Combine the need for Armo and Steven to get the same clearance rate as Lenny and we are no wonder struggling more than last.

I was surprised not to see McEvoy in the votes. 23 touches and 11 marks (5 contested).

thats the age votes- not the coaches votes.

coaches votes remain 5-1

One coach gave Brendon 5 and the other gave him nil. One coach gave Brett Peake 4 and the other gave him nil, the same one who gave Nick Riewoldt 4 (while the other gave him nil). They did agree a bit more on Nick Dal Santo (5 & 3).

So it was:

5. Brendon Goddard
4. Nick Riewoldt
3. Nick Dal Santo
2. Zac Dawson
1. James Gwilt

AND

5. Nick Dal Santo
4. Brett Peake
3. Todd Goldstein
2. Leigh Adams
1. Daniel Wells

where the 4s, 2s and 1s could all swap.
