Gold Coast Function and get togethers

Post: # 1110120Post Saint Bev »

Saints supporters will meet at the Mermaid Beach Surf Club, 172 Hedges Av, Mermaid Beach for pre game drinks. We will be there at 5.00pm. Emerald Lakes Gold Club now hosts Corporate Events and no longer an option. Parking is no longer available there and there is no parking at the Stadium. Do not drive unless you have disabled parking. Great meals at Mermaid and plenty of parking. Shuttle is booked out, but a short drive to Pacific Fair (opposite Casino in Broadbeach) to catch bus, though allow plenty of time.

Shuttle buses also operate from Nerang and Helensvale Stations. But NOT Varsity or Robina stations. Free shuttle to Stadium with footy ticket.

Please note that the Metricon Stadium is quite isolated and if you don't catch buses or have transport organised it can be difficult to get back. Hanging around for drinks at the stadium is probably not a great option, good chance you will be stranded.

Saints Supporters will meet post game at the Liars Bar in Broadbeach.

If you are free on Sunday, join us for our breakfast function -

Our tickets have arrived and we are sitting in "Ramp W/Aisle 147, row C 71", it is a dry area :( So ring Ticketmaster and request to sit near that area and you will be with Saints Supporters.

Not paying $40 to see some players, were told that it would happen at Brisbane game and they didnt turn up... I guess if they always new they werent going to come thats why it was free and they only charge when they know players will be there. Whats the point of charging to see some players? I can understand that you have to buy your breakfast etc, but don't they realise it would be better for them to have it free so 'border line saints fans gold coast fans' see their players in the flesh as they dont see them...

Hi Saint Bev,

I am having difficulty finding your seating on a Metricom Seating map that I have. There may be a couple more reference numbers on your ticket.

My numbers are Section UO5. Row G. There is also a reference to - Stair C/Aisle 205.

If you can have another look at your ticket an re-post, I will try to get mine re-allocated to the Saints Supporters area.

The 205 is the section number. Our season seats are in 219. Also the number 200 means upper deck seating

40 bucks wasnt so bad i thought
but the 30 for kids i thought was a bit steep

but at least theres a function
adelaide doesnt get any of that anymore as the team pretty much flies in that day and flies out two or three hrs after the game.

Here's a guess. I was booked a while back on Virgin for 10.55am on Friday. Virgin have changed the flight to 10.30am (same flight no.), so I am guessing that another flight has been added - perhaps the Saints players flight ?

Bev, Roughly how much is it from Surfers to the Airport early morning?

One of my mates who went up for the GC v Pies game last week said it was about $50? just confirming as he is a pies fan, so i have very little trust in him

Having travelled from Broadbeach to the airport a few times, it is around $40, so from Surfers it's likely to be $50 - $60 at an estimate.

Being local, if Bev gets back to you, she may have a more accurate figure. Trust this helps.

Hope the Liars bar is open late. A mate of mines wife went last week to the Collingwood game and took just under 2 hours to get back to broadbeach because there just werent enough buses. Is there any other way. I was thinking of going to Royal Pines and call a cab. Is that a good idea?
