Think Milney could be a decent coach. Has good footy smarts.

Well if he can combine his immense footy knowledge with his enormous passion for the game he could make a good coach.

Given how well he has adapted his game from goalsneek to that plus defensive forward and all around the groundsman anything is possible!

I reckon Aussie Jones would be a good coach. Seemed to be a smart player.
TOO smart even. He retired when he still had 3-4 years of good footy left because he thought about things too much. IMHO.

There is no way in hell Milney will ever be given the reigns as an AFL coach.

Not saying he will be an AFL coach but he is utilising his options and developing skills- similiar to his increased media work.

Maybe the voice.

However that's simply being voiceist and such a thing is not acceptable in today's modern society

In the modern world where PR is so important, only St Kilda would ever give a player as hated as Milney the top job.

Footy smarts are one thing. Management ability and people skills need to be top class to coach today. Not sure that Milny has these in spades.

Maybe the voice.

Are you serious? Have you ever heard Terry Wallace speak?

Milney has managed to make an entire football club love him, not just like him, they absolutely adore him.

Pretty good quality to have if you want to lead, inspire and motivate.

Buckley was universally hated by opposition supporters and he will have the job at Collingwood next year. Milney is loved by his own teams supporters and hated by everyone else sounds just like Buckley and Worsfold to me.
