Cripps coming good only 1-2 weeks away

Post: # 1115373Post Old Mate »

Is it to late for him to make a run at the finals?

Is he still in contention for finals or has injuries ruined his season?

Bit of x-factor about him and plays well as the sub - had an instant impact in just about all of his games.

Like most I like what I saw earlier this year.....

BUT....if 1-2 weeks away....He now will not be match fit, or practiced....

Most likely the best bet is now just to get him and Ledger and Sippo at their best for next year.

Really? I thought we only started playing them when we were losing?

We also wont move forward without playing kids, which is why the next 5 years are going to be bad.

Good news. At least he can get some senior footy into him at some level i.e. at least in the VFL.

he will need to have a solid run in the two's as soon as he is fit because they will only have a couple of games left two weeks from now (and won't be playing finals)

Exactly. They were seemingly only brought in as a last resort as we were going so badly. Then things started to slowly turn around once they came in and brought a bit of enthusiasm and spark with them (and once some of those already in the team realised they couldn't take their own positions for granted and got their s*** together again).
As for Cripps, he did do well as the "sub" earlier in the season, but now Peake has hit his straps and so has Jack, so they will hopefully make it harder for Cripps to get a game in the run home. If we got some injuries he could certainly be an option, though.

I really like Cripps; the perfect goal-kicking sub. Hope he is back in the side soon!

doctor....i dont care how he kicks it, as im guessing most of us dont lol

looks the goods huh
gets to the right spot and takes the chances
i would have him and milne up there first choice every week
we know yip yap is going around next year, but i think he can go around again after that and cripps can certainly learn from the master

cripps, steven, big boy, walsh coming along, winmar hopefully...things look good, hopefully stanley can get some fitness up and a few kilos on

yup
love the cripper
8-)

Pity the selectors did not have the courage to give the Irishman a go!

He's had a very serious injury. Let's just hope/assume that the medico's are taking a conservative rehab approach. Cripps is young and a long term Saints prospect and needs to be looked after with that in mind.

Fortunately, today's football is a lot more professional in the medical area than it used to be, but the pressure to win games can sometimes cause risks to be taken.

I have been very impressed with Cripps. If he is training now perhaps 2 Senior VFL games may be all he needs to be selected for half a game as the sub. He has been our most effective sub.

No way he'll get a sniff in the seniors until 2012.

Ross stuffed up by playing the kids when they weren't physically ready and thats the reason most of our kids have serious injuries.

No wonder he is a bit shy to play them, even when the internet armchair experts DEMAND he play them.

Lance or James??
