Wonder if we'll qualify as 'good' if we win this week…
We're not the best side at the moment but, 9 from 11 is 'good' in my book.

Would like to be well in front at 3/4 time, as the Pies have been over-running side after side in the last
quarter - ultra-fit or "Arizona'd" or something.
Will need a fresh strategy to get it out of our backline, from a point kick-out etc - their discipline is so good they will not
allow any easy exit from the pocket or the goal square - every ball is contested. Anything that breaks the lines, quick play-ons etc will be invaluable.
McEvoy to run through Jolly at the first bounce, and show him who's in charge.
Tackles to stick on Leon Davis...that would be nice.
Swan, Pendlebury hard-tagged for 4 quarters.
Cloke double teamed.

'Good' is relative to expectations of a premiership at the start of the year

Legendary said in part :
This week IMO Lyon will simply want the Saints to continue the changes and improvements they have made over the previous 8 weeks:
- Playing-on more than any other team
- Higher possession, shorter-kicking football
- Focus on creating space and playing forward options deeper near goal
- Forward pressure
That's not far off the mark. Ross knows the Collingwood game plan well.
Dempster on Didak, Polo on Swan, Jones on Thomas.

I would like us to "take them on" and make a couple of unexpected starting initiatives, such as Fisher on Pendlebury, start Rooey on a wing and play to him, Jones "a very hard" tag on Thomas.

I consider that a 5 goal defeat.

I had a change of thought- maybe RL could just go back to the super un-attractive defensive flood. Just slow the game right down and hold possession as long as possible so all opponents are covered where possible..that stops opposition run and link-up play. I bet RL pulls that out of the bag..be prepared for an ugly game..
