I make it that if we beat the Swans, then we can lose the other 3 games and will still most likely make 6th by percentage from the Swans (7th) and Bombers (8th) - all teams finishing on 11.5 wins.
So that big win against the Crows could prove to be vital in securing the home final!
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...
freo winning 3 of 4 (carlton in perth, north in melb, filth in the perth, dogs in melb) and us winning no more than 1 of 4?
If we lose all 4,which is not an absurd possibility(probably 50%),and Melbourne win there last 3 which is likely,we will finish 10th.
You'd hope we can win one game at least, but no way will we beat Pies or Carlton, swans will be favourite at home, and North is 50/50 the way they are playing atm.
Talk of a home final is a long way off at this stage
If we lose all 4 we don't deserve a crack at finals. I've got us losing one, and that's against the Pies. Even then, I think we'll come close to winning it on Friday night.
When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Our recent form suggests we will drop the next four. I think you're on to something.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.

Astounding logic, I particularly like the application of advanced probability theory.
We're 50/50 against North, and 50% chance to win nothing.

Well if we were nil chance against the other 3 that would be right.
i give us a BIG sniff in that game
stop judd and gibs
they will struggle with our forward line
all we need to do is read THEIR ruckman
big chance imo
Absolutely agree. Narrowly missed last time, despite being in horrible form before and after. We're a good chance to get up, especially if we clinically eliminate North before.

I'm so glad we managed to finish above Melbourne.
I shouldn't bump this but it was the stupidest comment I read all year.
I was reading a paper from back in May today. Ross Lyon all but conceding we wouldn't make finals, as things were dire straights in the Saints camp. Interesting how it can all change. For all we know, the best footy we've ever seen may be in the coming weeks. Not too hard to believe a Saints fan should always have faith, even when things look grim. Go Saints!
