Me too. Perhaps we'll see JB more as a 2nd ruck and kosi and Roo in the forward line in tandem for longer periods?prwilkinson wrote:Hmmm.... Hope this doesn't leave the side to one dimensional when moving the ball forward.
Also more opportunity for BJ to rotate forward.
I am hoping that JB doesn't play forward, he really has not played that role very effectively in the past.
Hird... The unflushable one is now... just a turd...

A clear focus on defence. A bit disappointing really, as I would have liked us to "take them on."
Weakens our not so potent forward line even further. I wonder who will move forward - BJ and Gilbert have not worked in the past and Blake is certainly no forward.
Why not Tommy Walsh, if Gamble is injured
Let the game begin!

We need to take the game on to win, hopefully someone has one of the freakish, one off weeks and kicks a bag.Junction Oval wrote:A clear focus on defence. A bit disappointing really, as I would have liked us to "take them on."
Gutless team selection.
Where's Tommy Walsh?
I'd not be surprised if he went home to Ireland because he hasn't been selected.
He would have made all teh differnece against the Pies.
My guess is that Tommy Walsh will play in the games against Sydney next week. Hanging my hat on Ross's words of playing him in the next couple of weeks. He sure needs a go so he can show what he has to offer. Common Ross give the guy a go.

Gotta say it screams to me of 'in it at half time, 6 goals apiece or thereabouts, then over-run late'.
But I assume Ross has a plan.
Hope his plan s***s it in.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

BJ will not rotate in the forward line. Blake will probably play back and hopefully Kosi will play forward and ruck like he has been.Richter wrote:Me too. Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
How can dropping Gamble weaken the forward line the guy's kicked pretty much nothing in the last few weeks.Weakens our not so potent forward line even further.
Gamble's form has been wilting to the point of subbing him early last week. Blake will either get a role in the backline and someone else (Sam Fisher, Raph Clarke) moves up the ground or he'll play as a utility/2nd ruck linking through the middle of the ground.
Selections seem to be based on form - makes sense to me.
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.
