It's an opinion. Deal with it.

Forward goes out. Back comes in.

What other conclusion is there to draw?

Unless there's a rabbit waiting to leap from a hat, I'd say we were going defensive.

What do you think?

Quite possibly Blake will play as our 2nd ruck following L. Brown around ...

And Kosi will play permanent forward.

Sounds quite plausible.

Would love Rod Keogh out there to crack a few Collingwood skulls in.

Dean Greig had more ticker then Rod Keogh.

He was a tough unit and can blue.

that is the plan. cue in the rack at halftime.

I wish people would get off the "Take them on", bandwagon. If we take on the filth, by which I presume people mean we play flowing, attacking football we will get hammered. Saints Footy is how we'll beat them. We may need to kick 12-13 goals to win, but pretty it won't be.

As for Tommy Walsh, I too am disappointed that he hasn't been played, but surely RL is in a better position to judge than we are. Maybe by observing the lad at close quarters for 2 years and having a direct hand in his development, he is in the best position to judge whether he is ready or not. Clearly Ross thinks he's not. My worry is he may never be.

Hmmmm. Yeah no worries. We have to win the game before anything else. Every game is a must win and have to hit the finals with momentum. Any loss is a shot in the arm and at the end of the day we dont want to just "scrape into the finals" only to be railroaded out a week later.

They iced his ankle up immediately...so i would say yes.

Does not mean though that he would not be fit this week...and as he is an emergency I would assume that he is fit.

Agree...

Also remember that playing one extra down back has killed us against the Pies.

So I expect 6 forwards. Roo and Kosi...and Blake showing Brown.

I'm not sure that'd be appropriate. Kids will be watching.

that's how I saw it with Gamble
given the injury doubt and his form over the last few weeks he was always going to be doubtful

I'd not be surprised if he went home to Ireland because he hasn't been selected.

He would have made all teh differnece against the Pies.
Watch them train on Wednesday and his enthusiasm and willingness to improve is first rate. I think he knows his turn in the firsts will come ( even if its next year )

um, "a shot in the arm" is generally considered to be a good thing - a stimulant, something that gets you going. i don't think you understand what you are saying.

So no indication of him getting jacked off and returning to Ireland, as many on here have suggested?

Keep it going Tommy, your time will come :)

Rooey's in for a tough night on Ried, Maxwell, tarrant

Armo will play as a defensive hff and have a minor impact.....imo.

Count the defensively minded players in the team
I have 10

They only have to shut bj down and we will struggle...

What about Dal Santo and Montagna ?

If Koschitzke is forward, one of those tall defenders will need to go to him....
