Ross left because of money woes

You can listen to Bristle tell you Carlton are still a massive chance at 28 points down with two minutes to go, you can listen to him tell you all about Lorne, or you can watch a monkey on a pushbike...I know which I prefer...

Cant wait for the she knows nothing crap. The way i see it we arent hearing any good news so ther must be some truth in what has been written over the last few days and maybe even be confirmed by the club not seeming to worry about losing a highly paid coach and fitness person. Now we may have to lose a player due to salary cap. Are we running a local footy club or an AFL club?

Did you catch the footage of Nettlefold pacing in his office shortly after getting the news from Ross. Fair to say he looked a little "worried".

Of course they are worried now. But they know they can't front the media looking and sounding panicked.

Just a shame they weren't worried enough earlier in the season to lock RL into a long term deal :?

there are other sides

It's understood the Demons first contacted Misson last week, as Lyon was quitting St Kilda to join the Dockers.

Misson's departure came on the same day it was revealed Saints assistant coach Peter Berbakov had also quit the club, meaning three key football personnel had left within a week.

"Rossy probably summed it up when he said it was the end of an era, and maybe that put it in people's minds that maybe it was time to look for other opportunities as well," Misson said.

"St Kilda is a great club, it's got some great leaders on and off the field and it's going to survive.
"But for me it's about a new challenge

Incidentally, this probably shows the standard of Australian journalism and fact checking...

Gold Coast Suns coach Gut McKenna wants Mick Malthouse on board in 2012

Good old Gut McKenna...

isn't it just a standard herald sun level of work? other journalism is often a bit better.

Yeah I meant Australian football journalism

Where crisis happens at 0-1 and everything is a bombshell.....

Meanwhile, the Lyon PR rebuild continues

Both papers still going on about us being unwilling to deal with the media.

Maybe they should have a good hard look at themselves and find out why. If it was for the utterly reprehensible journalism practised by both papers over the last few years directed at our club maybe the club would be a little more open.

FFS maybe they should try to do there jobs properly and try to build relationships with the club. Imagine being the only reporter the saints will talk to could get a lot of exclusives.

I get this post, but I also realise that building relationships with Saints players over the past 5 years would of been very difficult.

This would be the same Caro who missed the Lyon defection completely,
writing on the morning of his departure -
“Ross Lyon is keen to extend his deal and see out the job at St Kilda.â€

That footage of Nettlefold pacing around looking agitated was an extremely poor look.
Showed his ineptitude and incompetence.
Didn't even have the awareness or judgement to close the blinds.

The whole think symbolised the day and reeked of a "WTF do we do now?" panic.

Something stinks at Seaford and it's not just Boggy Creek which just happens to be right beside the oval.

Paul Couch came from Boggy Creek, Western Australia.

Sing it loud and sing it proud but most of all hang around for this club will rise to claim the prize and then we will realise its not such a surprise. :-)

Meanwhile Malcolm Blight (and some other bloke who no one can remember...Terry....something....) tries to get his mate a job...
