JUST HEARD ON SEN BUT UNCONFIRMED!!
The selection panel is in a meeting right now. They wouldn't confirm, but it is possible that they are making the final decision. Kevin Bartlett was extremely confident that Scott Watters would get the job.

Right now was around 2 pm apparently...god this wait is getting tedious...just want to know now !!! :x

Don't worry Saint Pat., anyone of them will be ok. :D

However, not sure that I like the thought of Hinkley. He has missed several Coaching gigs in the past.

KB was going by what Greg Denham had told him and that was he was very certain Watters would get the job... So we can now rule Watters out as he wont get the job cos well Denham is never right....

Why does it seem to be between those 2....

Didn't the club re-state it was down to a final 3

Anyone of the 3 wouldn't surprise now...can be confident they ticked the most boxes...all outstanding candidates !

But the media has been giving us the new coach, well 3 different new coaches, for the last 7 days.

How can they only be deciding now?

Does the media sometimes make things up or something? :?

Well there is a pretty decent reason to make a decision now, and not take their time.

Lost one kid to another club, could lose another.

If the decision is made, I hope that person has already picked up the phone and pleaded our case to Walsh.

My information is that the sub committe made their decision / recomendation late yesterday (Friday.) So perhaps it's the club who is meeting today to ratify the decision.
ps I don't know who they recomended.

We gained a draft pick, and lost little for it is my take...

Rumour on BF that there's going to be an announcement tomorrow morning!

Get excited cos there's a 50% chance of that occurring. :)

If the panel was meeting at 2.00pm today that would suggest that were/are finalizing their recommendation to the Board. The Board would then need to discuss the recommendation and then approve it. With the Board being largely professional people, they are unlikely to get together until Monday, meaning the announcement will be either Tuesday or Wednesday !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Wouldn't it make more sense to meet Sunday rather than Monday when they will be doing their real jobs.

Its about getting them all together, although if the Herald-Sun can be believed they have already met TODAY !!

The board would want to make sure the decision is done - it would give the new coach at least the rest of Sunday and all of Monday to be a part of the trading period - if he wants to get anything done.
