On that note, would M>Gardiner make a decent ruck coach, or doesnt he have the temperment for coaching?

I suspect that bakes record with suspensions means that he cannot coach at any level of football.

Just having a quick glance at the AFL 2011 retirements list:

http://www.afl.com.au/retirements%20%20 ... fault.aspx

only two blokes there look worth a chat - Craig Bolton and Brady Rawlings.

Obviously Lingy would be outstanding.

Ferry runs between Queenscliff and Sorrento. Costs about $60 each way to take your car :(

Anyway, by the time you drove from Torquay to Queenscliff, waited to be loaded, took the 20 minute trip, waited to be unloaded and then drove to Seaford you'd probably be looking at a minimum of 2 hours each way.

Not gonna happen.

yep...

Dean Bailey has joined the Adelaide Crows in a new role as Strategy and Innovation Coach.

The experienced former Melbourne senior coach will join new Senior Coach Brenton Sanderson’s coaching team and on match day will have a role with the midfield group, as well as a key role in match day strategies.

Saints looking like a bottom 4 team in 2024.

Should have tried to pick up Shaun Rhen but has just been signed by Port. Could do worse than get Nathan Bassett,. This is what the papers are saying:
However, it was the strategy and then the execution of the Norwood game plan in that qualifying final, that stunned experienced football observers.

Of course, the ball has to be won in the packs and other contested situations - every coach teaches that - and Norwood won its share; but when the tough Glenelg onballers won the ball, they had nowhere to go with it.

Norwood's floating defensive zone confused the Glenelg ball-carriers, and left them no obvious targets.

At half-time, the Bays had scored only one goal and even though the final margin was only 44 points and Glenelg did have its chances in the second half, it was a total and comprehensive annihilation. It was the perfect combination of defence and attack, discipline and flair, aggression and skill.

More importantly, it stamped Nathan Bassett as a future AFL coach who, in his short tenure at Norwood, has already outgrown the SANFL.

Bassett as defensive coach would be ideal.

How about a couple of the indigenous blokes like Michael Long or G Wanganeen?

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.
