occassionally he has a brain fade i agree. but most of the time he is pretty decent. the fact someone had to go this year for the TPP and it was him.

all i can say is i hope simpkin comes on - and we can all forget zac.
So you reckon you're the voice of reason?

There is absolutely no way that Dawson is better than 10 fullbacks in the league. But again that might be your stupid opinion! Don't forget that this was the team that McQualter could get a game with.

Name the ten better full backs Moccha.
Scarlett
Reid
Grover/McPharlin
Gibson
Fletcher
Lake
Glass
Carlile
Frawley
Rutten
Jamison

Do you want me to keep going?
I would like you to have another try.

Scarlett
Reid
Grover/McPharlin - Didnt know Freo played with two FB's. McPharlin a CHF.
Gibson - Bar a final where he spoiled every contest, seriously undersized and a weak spot of Hawthorn of late.
Fletcher - Does he play FB?
Lake - Not better than Zac last year.
Glass
Carlile - In now way better than Zac
Frawley
Rutten
Jamison

So Ill give you five.

Scarlett
Reid
Glass
Frawley
Rutten
Jamison

Now as you suggested, I would like you to keen going.

I dont rate Merrett although some do.

And I was waiting for you to start throwing up Ted Richards and Scott Thompson. Either shows you do not watch Zac play (which I doubt).... Or rarely watch opposition teams play (which I suggest).

Zac sits comfortably around 7th/8th region.

Id suggest right now our Full Back stocks are about 18th.

It's just your opinion.

You have no idea of what I watch or don't watch

I do know that Zac has no brains and gets exposed.

See round 24 2011

Alas I do have some idea of what you watch based on the observations you present. And he has no brains? Really?

Fast, tall and positioned well. Some people have no idea how to actually watch defenders, most of their work is before the ball gets there. Their best work is causing the player in possession to tale another option.

And if you want to go game for game. How about GF 2011 #1 & #2. how about that entire finals series.

What also bemuses me is when people bag his kicking. Actually a smooth left foot kick.

Agree to disagree, although he doesn't get enough possesion of the ball to become a statically high turnover user of the ball.

I'm glad he has left.

Dawson would mostly kick backwards, even then you did not know if the oposition would get to the ball first..Averaging 4 kicks a game and kicking to loose players mostly behind him his stats would always look good. Not like he took the game on and created something...crikey its dawson we're talkin' bout...

He had a bad habit of handballing behind the player as well even though under no pressure

Well if it always looks good how do people criticize his kicking?

Look he's a clumsy footballer, he doesn't watch the ball, gets less than 5 posessions a game, can't take an overhead mark and always seems to infringe. Why did he get a game? Just ask Ross Lyin.

Yep we are better off without him.

Unlucky he played in the 2011 grand finals...

Dawson is a very average FB and that's why Lyon is the only bloke that wants him. Better than Lake LOL.

Was I comparing Lake on is AA form?

Nope, I was comparing Lake on his VFL form.... Maybe his VFL form was actually great though... I only saw him play once live for Williamstown...

Good luck with that, an injuried Lake wasnt even playing seniors last season.

You must really follow Sandringham, not just for the Saints alignment.

You must be senile because he played 5 games in 2011.

As usual a discussion turns into a slanging match. I am peeved the Zac elected to walk out on us, fabricate the reason whyand hook up with his soulmate at Freo. I also acknowledge that when he stuffed up he did it well. A bit like Max on the odd occasion. Unless I have missed something, I haven't seen any statistics showing scores against him by forwards compared to other rival fullbacks. I think these statistics might shut a few people up. Anyhow, have a Merry Christmas everyone.

I agree with you on most parts spinner but there are times when one argues to make a point and there are times when one simply throws mud on the wall hoping something stick

on this one particular point of the argument your doing the latter.

The argument is who is the better FB
Or which FB would you rather have

Lake is the answer both times

Wow he played seniors in 2011, who would have thought.

In fact he had to play seniors in or to be dropped because of form form.

Zac was easily a better FB in 2011... Because of injury, because of form. Whatever. On pure output, he was.

Fact is now we have a Simpkin, or a Wilkes which will take time. Zac had value... Ignore it anyway you want.
