5:10pm local time is the official start time, which I guess would put the match in the hottest part of the day. (Loris?)
Smarter people are at the beach, or at home under the air-con, sipping a Bulmer's.
Why not make it 11:10am or 8:10pm, and dodge the extreme heat?
Or - cue brilliant idea - install rotary sprinklers across the half-forward and half-back lines.

Nah, it's better to have a 2 man bench and watch players get heat stroke, have an inquiry, then take sensible preventative steps eh?!!

it is the afl. normal practice is let obvious and forseeable bad stuff happen. then never apologise or admit u were wrong.
then say it wasnt a really big deal and all the critics are wrong and morons . (think tanking etc etc).

Actually philtee 5:10 the sea breeze comes in cooling the city down if it was at11:10 the boys would be playing in the hottest part of the day ... As foe 8:10 WA doesn't have daylight savings so that would mean the game would only start at 11pm melba Time and as the players would still be on melb time physically it would be hard on the players
