How many expected this........
Sorted - Number of Goal Kickers then number of Goals.

Nice word SD, interesting numbers.
Can I say I did?
Scott said he wanted to get the balance right, and the most recent side he coached was #1 and #2 in defence/attack respectively. I know some people are getting frustrated, but it's evident where he is trying to get to I think?

Re: How many expected this........
Great stat.
Will be interesting to see at the end of the season how many goals and how many players scoring more than 5.
And compare that with 2010 under Ross.
I suspect under Waterss
- a lot more goals
- a lot better spread

& also it must mean that the GWS are far more dangerous to lock down, half the no. of goals kicked but the exact same spread

Can there be a comparison of rounds 1-5 and 6-10. Have a feeling this is going to drop given the upcoming fixture.

GT pointed out on FC monday night though, that WCE have played Dogs, Demons, Gold Coast, Hawks, Tiges, North...sunsaint wrote:agreedTeflon wrote:This tells me exactly what I need to know .............my god the Eagles go ok.

Certainly top 4 is looking a good chance for them, but other than Hawks, which was really close...they are where they should be
Re: How many expected this........
If you compare this year with last year, we have two more wins in the column don't we...let's not be too hasty to write off his efforts so farclarky449 wrote:And..Enrico_Misso wrote:Great stat.

The truth is we had one win and one draw at the same stage last year and not two more wins this year as you wrote but let's not let the FACTS get in the way
AND not forgetting we lost to Geelong by a point in round one only because Blake had a brain fade in the last minute!
Yes, we've had some real tough games against Port, Gold Coast, Bulldogs and Melbourne so three wins is a stellar performance!let's not be too hasty to write off his efforts so far

Lets not think that Ross the boss defensive gameplan wasnt effective.SainterK wrote:If you compare this year with last year, we have two more wins in the column don't we...let's not be too hasty to write off his efforts so farclarky449 wrote:And..Enrico_Misso wrote:Great stat.

Re: How many expected this........
Sitting 9th in the number of goals kicked and sitting 9th on the ladder - seems about right so not surprising at all

Re: How many expected this........
I must be strange as many will probably agree but that stat does nothing for me. We are 3 and 3 and have played 3 of the worst sides in the AFL. I still say winning ugly kills losing attacking footy. Yes we have scored more but come back and revisit that stat when we play some good sides. We have only played one side in the 8 and that was a home game against an interstate side. This isnt having a go at Watters. Just pointing out that we may be a little more attacking but we are losing ground defensively because of that.

Re: How many expected this........
Correct. It's a consequence of not having most of our players behind the ball most of the time. It means that when we win we can potentially win big, but that there can also be some blowouts in the other direction as well.plugger66 wrote: Just pointing out that we may be a little more attacking but we are losing ground defensively because of that.
We need to tighten up defensively and keep on attacking.
