1. Is Rooey able to play anywhere other than the forward line? Jeans, the master coach, continually kept the opposition guessing. He'd play Cowboy at either end of the ground depending on circumstances. Barry Lawrence was brilliant as a defender, or forward. He rejuvenated Bob Murray's career by switching him to full-back and he used Verdun Howell just as effectively in the same way.

2. Why does our defence give away so many soft free-kick through dinky little pushes in the back and grips on jumpers?

3. Are we becoming too predictable with a couple of lumbering forwards wanting to wrestle instead of leading into open space?

4. Why do we kick the ball to Milne when he's outnumbered?

5. Could we create more avenues to goal through shepherding the ball-carrier?

6. Why does McEvoy, when he wins the occasional tap-out, place the ball in so close that the player it's meant for is picked off, or the ball sharked?

Roo is a brave warrior but shouldn't have played if he wasn't close to fit and for me he's a forward or nothing. Adelaide showed how good run and link footy is last night. looks clean and efficient.we grab jumpers and scrag because we lack a monster Rutten style back. milne is often the go to man because he is the one finding space when he runs off his man. Shepherding is good as is running two man links. mac is still rusty and was ordinary but should improve.
