Frankly, it was only a matter of time.

All these tight loses and too many supporters who refused to believe the glaring deficiencies we had. Good teams have tight loses, very good teams have tight wins.

I like our future prospects, but we weren't going to do a Geelong, we simple aren't good enough. We're rebuilding and we probably won't play finals this year, or even next year. Or maybe we will?

Acknowledging this doesn't make me a bad supporter.

These 3 players are, like other AFL blokes, athletes.
They have to work hard on the track and stay very strong and fit.
Having said that, I think their on-field attitude is the problem, making wrong decisions,
e.g. Clarke getting run down - does he not listen to his team-mates nearby telling him to dish-off?
Does he think he is faster than Usain Bolt?
Gram doesn't go hard enough at the man. Needs to get angry pills or something.
Gilbert gets caught out too often, everyone knows his only trick is the left side, but it ain't a trick if everyone knows it.

I don't think it's time to chuck in the towel, if there is a spot still up for grabs in the eight....why let some of the Freo, North or Tiges kids enjoy the experience?

Don't get sucked in by North. They are front runners. Have been found out this year and will continue to be found out. Looks great when the ball bounces their way. They will continue to be a giant nobody in the scheme of things

By the way. Did anyone else think they were pretty arrogant and cocky yesterday. Considering we have had their measure and humiliated them for so many years I thought we might have got a bit more respect. Anyway their day will come. The way they play it could be against anyone.

I did follow us in the 80's and reckon this match was very reminiscent of that era. During Tony Jewell's reign we would often kick 15-20 goals and lose comfortably.
More grunt in the midfield required. Gee, Swallow was just allowed so much space it wasn't real.
