If that's the case they can have him!!! 5 years is absolutely stupid for a player who turns 28 next year! If I was a Dockers supporter I would be ropeable and some of their players may be a bit peeved!

Re: BJ Dockes
If that is true the others must be being paid like labrats ... and Lyon must rate him and think he has under achieved under Watters
This is a team game and there is no room for individuals who think they are above walking through the fire.

Those same players will expect more when it comes to them doing new deals! Fyfe Barlow Broughton Mundy. Gee wouldn't want to lose any of those guys who still have many good years ahead of them.

Re: BJ Dockers
Brad Hardy also said Terry Wallace was going to coach freo after they sacked Damien Drum.. He also said Worsfold would be replaced with Roos in 2010 ... He also said Fevola was a done deal at west coast in 2006 ...

Is today April 1 ??
Re: BJ Dockers
If he goes, I hope he goes for a massive contract like that....
let another club feel the pressure of having a massive salary cap burden for the next 5 years....
Also, the bigger the contract the more important he looks, and (hopefully) the better our compo pick will be.

Re: BJ Dockers
God I hope it is true.
Would be fantastic for bj to get that type of payout, would make Freo look silly, would mean that Freo loses some players when the inevitable SC squeeze that a Lyon coached team comes under, Saints get 600k in their already (according to Watters) healthy SC, we get probably pick #13 in draft, we can go aggressively at Caddy, pick up a ruckman and a backman, and win the 2013 premiership
Lance or James??

God's would be a fool for no taking anything even half as good. Which will come no doubt. Looks like we're going to have a nice draft pick and extra SC.

terry wallace was offered a deal by freo. freo couldnt keep their mouths shut in those days, it leaked to the media, caused a s*** storm and both parties walked away.
eagles did approach roos in 2010 and offered him a large sum. he wasnt interested in moving interstate.

Re: BJ Dockers
Wouldn't blame BJ for taking that.
However I remember the Dockers throwing buckets of cash at Buckets, Banger and Burke in the 90's, all stayed with the club to become club legends.
Would you take less $$$ to become a one club legend?

I'd love to know how Fremantle have all the salary cap room that no other club in the AFL has. If they want to f*** their salary cap up for next year & the following years, please be my guest.

Re: BJ Dockers
Freos highest paid players are Pav and Sandi both on the vets list .. The rest are on average contracts as the dockers have not had other clubs looking to poach players so no one is on massive money the movement of Tarrant freed up a heap of space and not signing Mitch Clark gives them a surplus .. Freo have no probssavatage wrote:I'd love to know how Fremantle have all the salary cap room that no other club in the AFL has. Re: BJ Dockers
I don't think he is going to Dockers...from what a friend tells me he doesn't have a great r/ship with Lyon. I would have thought he wants to stay in Melbourne.
