I personally think we forget about sponsoring players in 2013 until 2012 is fully paid!

... did these people pay up their pledges from 2012 ... I hope so.

Given the way 2012 has gone and how Mr Magic was treated on here ... I would say it is a fair guess he will not be acting as the guarantor with the Club ... I actually think he paid in advance and then just collectedf from all of us ... so I sincerely doubt the club will agree to allow us to "sponsor" until the actual money is in this year and in future years.

He not only didnt get paid all that was committed but he also chipped in about $700 that we were short in shares. He basically paid the third player himself but gave all the prizes to others. Some of the people who are on the list are regulars. Surely they have paid. I know things change when we commit but who is to say they havent for MM. Please pay if you owe. Why should he wear it all when your portion is basically bugger all.

I have now and sincere apologies to MM, I thought I paid at the time.

Admittedly I haven't been on here much this year to check threads.

TBH I very rarely open the sticky threads and this was something I was 99% convinced I had paid early on as I usually do - but examination of my statements showed nothing.

Its way more than that because we didnt sell anywhere near enough shares to get 3 players plus those who committed and didnt pay. I would suggest closer to $1500 or one full sponsorship.

Seriously? I can't comment on the above other than to say that someone overcommitted I guess, but those who did commit and haven't coughed up the coin should get on it asap.

I believe St Vic has now paid too...

Anyway Mr Magic has sent me a PM to say:

1) he appreciates that payments have been made this week

2) he will back us getting sponsorsed players again

3) he would love SainterK or anyone else who volunteers to chase pledges

I have met Mr Magic and a nicer guy you would struggle to find.

We are really lucky to have someone do generous (and forgiving) prepared to give us the financial backing do the club will allow Saintsationalists to pool our resources to sponsor players.

This year I hope we all allow Mr Magic to pick at least the first player to be sponsored as a sign of appreciation and at this stage we should just pick one ... Until we are certain we can afford another ...

And I totally back the rule that a pledge must be paid in a certain amount of time.

then if that payment is met - then move on to player 2 if/when total for player 1 is reached.

And thus at $20 per share = 95 shares per player = 190 for 2
