what a hassle! stuff that. I was going to go but over an hour to drive there, and then that malarkey. no thanks. disappointing. you can't even park in nearby streets because locals complained and now it is restricted on match days.
what a lovely society we live in. so generous and easy going.

Yes its a bit of a joke for sure. If you live south you could drive to Varsity Station and catch train to Nerang and then a free bus. Or if you live north catch the train to Nerang.

But I have to agree, to many rules and regulations drives me to despair. In the end we are the ones that miss out, which is infuriating.

You can park near Nerang station in the street but do it on the other side of the Nerang-Broadbeach road, in Lawrence Drive. There's industries on that side, no houses. I did that last year and it was fine.

THere is no public transport to Metricon only "special" buses for the footy, only 2 pick up points where you can't park. Cabs, a luxury item on the GC and they are reluctant to go to Metricon post games. Its not Melbourne Plugger.

That information manual kindly provided by Bev makes the Victorian government public transport "vision" released today look oh so simple.

The point of renovating a stadium like Cararra and then making access a shambles is pathetic.

Ditto for the Gabba, the no parking zones keeps getting extended and they could have built a carpark when it was renovated but no let's rely on buses and patrons who have to walk for miles.

Yes the Gabba is just as bad. If the public transport was good you could understand it. It just gets more difficult every year. Do they want us to go?
