Re: Positives
Jack Steven has taken his disposal from being a Jones-like liability into a strength. Seriously, he is landing lace-out passes at full pace every week now.
Ross has a great footy brain and will be a quality player next year with an improved fitness base.
Siposs is building
Webster can kick and should have played the whole game
Saad's game was more like his 2012 season
Roberton is a gun and future AA
Rhys Stanley's long kicking out of defence is phenomenal

Re: Positives
No love for Stanley? I thought he was having one of his best ever games down back, until perhaps the last qtr when he was too easily side-stepped (goal) and then infringed in a marking contest (goal). But as someone said, it was raining in there all night. I thought he showed good signs overall.

Agree with all that and Newnes was equally good tonight.mad saint guy wrote:Jack Steven has taken his disposal from being a Jones-like liability into a strength. Seriously, he is landing lace-out passes at full pace every week now.

Re: Positives
Positives?
The chips were hotter than last time I bought them at Etihad.
I got a car park closer to the ground this time
My haemorrhoids seem to be clearing up

Basically takes 6 weeks for a calf to healsavatage wrote:Did he re-injure his calf? I commented before the game that I was surprised he was in after doing a calf. Those take a long time to get right. Stupid to risk an older player with a calf complaint. I knew that from afar, don't these experts know how these things go?
Posting 20 years of holey crap!
Re: Positives
Seb Ross looks good...fantastic attack on the footy...but is very very one sided. No right foot whatsoever it seemed

Re: Positives
draft picks, the chance and time to look for a new coach. Plenty of time to do other things this year.

That's pretty much the story of our midfield and onballers at the moment- no defensive game.perfectionist wrote:Wasn't his worst game, but his direct opponent was BOG with 39 touches.SainterK wrote:Jack Steven
Re: Positives
Why does Ross have to kick on his non preferred??
Only about 5% of kicks are non-preferred in modern footy... Due to the maintain possession game, players don't go opposite unless its a last resort!
Mitchell would be the only real dual sided player in the AFL now....

Re: Positives
We kicked a decent score compared to last week, unfortunately we leaked a lot, but it shows there is potential scoring power there
