Received a response from the Membership Dept at the club. Said they would pass the idea on to the Fan Development Dept. At the very least the idea is being shuffled around the bureaucracy at the club. I will post if/when I receive anything further. Still NOTHING back from the Cheer Squad !!

Forget the club Eastern. Go to Saint media types like Mark Fine and see if he can get involved/interested. Then get him to contact the club. You get some Saints names on board and it could work. I like the passion and I like the idea. Imagine a photo of Saints supporters circling the stadium like it is their own fortress. An unbreakable bond of loyalty. I love the idea but I think you need a name to get it happening. And I wouldn't rely on email contact with the club. Ring them. Good luck with it.

Great to see your passion EASTERN, a pleasure to come across some intelligent posting for a change.
Think your idea is excellent and throw in the raffle idea, but to me , your idea must get support from the media.
Pick a game that Channel 7 and Fox are covering and get the Club Media people to secure support from 7 and Fox then your idea becomes a worthwhile reality.

The idea WILL be discussed amongst the decision makers at the Club on Monday. From the phone conversation I had today it is starting to look VERY POSITIVE !!

I received a call from Rory Sackville at the club today. The club is not only supportive of the idea but will take over the organizing & marketing of it. THERE WILL BE A FEW CHANGES/TWEAKS; The Date has changed to SUNDAY 25 AUGUST prior to the Gold Coast Game. The club already had this date pencilled in as MEMBERS DAY. The March/Walk around Etihad Stadium will still be the same (Gate 5 to Gate 5). The time will probably be around 12.00-12.15 as its a 1.10 start that day. More to come from the club as we get closer to the date. I'M WRAPPED !!

Just a bit of a reminder and a bit of an update:

It is all starting to gather momentum behind the scenes at the club. Many of the leaders of the Interstate and Country groups will be at the game, including Trav from Western Saints.

If I may ask; Anyone who has any sort of RED,BLACK & WHITE BANNER or is thinking of making a BANNER, please try to get there as the MORE COLOUR & MORE PEOPLE who participate, the more POSITIVE it will be for OUR CLUB.

There have already been a few ideas (thanks Cairnsman & saint66au) to help make it an even BIGGER SUCCESS. If anyone else has any ideas that you think might add to the event, please post here or contact Rory at the club.

There will be plenty of publicity about it in the week leading up to the game on August 25 !!
