More so when you look at the cats game tonight.ROLS-LEE wrote:Definitely not. We need elite midfielders
We desperately need good mids that can use the ball well.

Re: trade pick 3
We desperately need a ready made class midfielder. Pick 3 will deliver that. Trading that pick would be a boneheaded move of Brooks-like proportions

Sorry guys I actually had a few wines when I posted this. it was really a stab at all the characters asking for watters head because he traded pick 13 before even seeing how our guys went.

I think we need to have a look at who's actually doing the recruiting too IMO.

I agree.borderbarry wrote:I dont think it was Watters job to do that trade.
I thought we solved this issue ?
Wtf are coaches allowed a say in recruiting contracts and trading ?
It was disastrous for gt. It was disastrous for Lyon and disastrous for SW.
Surely we have learnt our lesson to keep the roles separate ?
Does our club ever learn ?
As for pick 3 . Get me the best midfielder who is an elite kick.
If that is Aish get Aish.

Re: trade pick 3
Iknow I have posted this before, but if GWS get Buddy during the trade period, or if GWS are going to take the 199cm FF with pick No.1 (how you would know is a mystery to me, unless Steve Silvani assured us that was the case) I would offer them a player and Pick No. 3 for Jonathon Paton and Pick 10. Paton will be a good replacement for Roo when he finishes, and we would still pick up a good mid with Pick 10.
Re: trade pick 3
Pick 1 two years ago and Pick 10 = Pick 3, I really can't see it happening. Maybe Patton for Pick 3, but we won't get any icing.borderbarry wrote:Iknow I have posted this before, but if GWS get Buddy during the trade period, or if GWS are going to take the 199cm FF with pick No.1 (how you would know is a mystery to me, unless Steve Silvani assured us that was the case) I would offer them a player and Pick No. 3 for Jonathon Paton and Pick 10. Patton isn't that good (on or off the field). Also, he's coming back from a knee reco. Give him a wide berth and let Carlton have him !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

He a really nice young guy Jonny -that's crap. If anything he doesn't have enough mongrel and his knees are already a bit of an issue. The only thing that would stop him being another J. Brown is his body. You would want to do some mediacal tests but you would definitely look at that deal.
