What is a platinum member?

A Platinum member is someone that has been a member for between 20-29 years. It used to be for consecutive years, now it's for total years as a member.

i found my old 1990s membership cards in the shed the other day and one thing good about the modern ones is the fact they don't clip the sides out of them. The old ones are mashed from the ticket cutters. it was a pretty cool find though i got a heap of Marching In fanzines and The Saint magazines that were talking up Tim Watsons coaching and some of our rubbish draft selections. awesome time capsule.

I got an email. Call the club and speak with the membership dept. The deadline foe acceptance was last Friday or when the reach capacity, you may be ok.

Given they recently had an event for 50 + years members I'd say they are working through the levels with special events.

I'm a Platinum member and was not invited to this event.

My husband is a gold member and was. His invite said the event was for gold and diamond members. Hence we are not going.

Used to go to all the interstate games that were on the screen at Moorabbin.

I couldn't attend the Red White & Black event in mid-June and rang to ask if I could attend this instead. The answer was no, can't attend due to the fact they can only have 100 people attend.

I scored an invite to the "Platinum Members Event" in the post today. It's at LHC on Monday 19 August. Speakers will include Michael Nettlefold & Chris Pelchen. I'll be going along with an open mind (I don't think I'll get too involved in the Q&A).

Anyone else get an invitation and intending to go? !!

My son is 19 yet appears to be a platinum member, certainly got an invite...been a member since he was born on 31/12/1993 so maybe they count that as 20 years?

There were about 80 people there. Shane Wakelin opened the meeting. Michael Nettlefold is on his way to NZ to negotiate/finalize a deal to play 1 (ONE) game per year for the next 5 (FIVE) years. There could be some pre-season games over there too.

The deal with Centrebet will finish at the end of this season. Expect some announcements over summer.

Negotiations are well under way to develop Moorabbin as a Community Hub. There are also plans to use Moorabbin for our STAND ALONE VFL side from 2016.

Shane then took questions about fixture and other stuff before handing over to Chris Pelchen. Chris presented what he presented to the Board about 1 month ago. ALL of the Saints names were xxxxxxxxxxx'd out for privacy & confidentiality reasons.

Now, there were a bloody lot of figures and comparisons in what he presented and I can't remember too many of them. One area that did stick out was that there will be 4 players retire at the end of the season.

He did say that the pain of this year will continue (or could be even worse) next year. After that we will see the improvement ON the field, with 2018 being the beginning of a Golden Era.

He also said that the top 5 in this years draft will be Boyd, Aish, Scharenberg, Kelly & Billings (not in any particular order) but he does expect Boyd to go No 1 and he doesn't think that GWS are serious about trading #1. He thinks that all they are trying to do is de-stabilize other clubs

He also touched on the Ahmed Saad situation by saying that it is completely out of the clubs hands and if suspended Ahmed will not be permitted at the club during any suspension other than to give and/or receive drug councelling

I have probably missed some stuff. Others might be able to fill in the gaps and/or I might remember some more !!
