SHould be suspended for stupidity alone. The players are taught so much about this. It is drilled in to them. Stupid stupid mistake. Costs himself and the club.

They were using the products they were because they were undetectable. The tests can't cover everything. If it wasn't for the ACC looking at the big picture, they would have got away with it too.

Many (most?) of the cyclists are being 'caught' on tests done years after the original samples were taken.

The testers' scientists are seemingly well behind the dopers' scientists and by the time they are able to detect the banned substances the athletes have moved on to some other undetectable substance.

Got this SMS from a Bluescum supporter:

A forward line of Milne Rooey Saad. A predator a flasher and a drug cheat... Line up for Lombok jail in 2014.

They've snuck Saad in as an emergency, replacing TDL.

Very odd… farewell game perhaps?

Why not caught?

Because some of the stuff around now has a 3 hr window.
After 3 hrs you won't even register.
This is performance enhancing stuff as well.

Not everything is picked up in tests
Testers are always behind users....always

Confused.

Thought he'd have a provisional suspension preventing him playing while investigated.

I think he got one touch for Sandy last week, so if he takes the field at the Gabba,
he will get none at all, so TECHNICALLY, he won't actually be playing.

no don't think so as it is only a match day banned substance. So unless he drinks it again he is good to go.

After seeing the Markworth video maybe a week with Trevor Hendy following the Brissy game would be a good idea.

Can someone please clear this up for me then. If the substance he had is only banned on match days it mustn't stay in your system for long. Assuming he doesn't drink it again his second sample would be clear therefore he won't be banned. Is this correct???

Second sample is taken at the same time of the first.
It is done as a bit of an insurance.

Sam Lane on 7 has just confirmed Saad has taken a less serious banned substance and if B sample lines up will be heard by an AFL tribunal. So therefore can play now.

REGARDLESS....can't ASADA dispute any AFL penalty if they choose?

How did she refer to it a "specified substance". Specified substances arent as serious. interesting
