Did the Club ever consider the Junction Oval ?
- I don't know the history, etc about this

As much as I miss Moorabbin and Waverley Park, to me it's where we should be
- it's central, close to the G and Etihad, 3 other ovals near by, Albert Park Lake, other land for development, it's our original home and our suburb

Cricket,
One of the reasons the AFL and VFL like and support TBBO and Moorabbin is there are no pitches to hold ip the start of any year

I like that plan, more sane than just walking out on seaford...

Still think it will enable the club to become the bayside/peninsula saints if respect is shown to that area as well.

Eventually getting back to Moorabbin will be the re-making of the Saints, from both a player and supporter perspective - back in the main game again. The whole Seaford saga has been a very bad joke at all levels and has cost the Club dearly.

I would really love to move back to Morrabbin, and they thought of playing smaller drawing home games there is really exciting. But I can't see how the club can possibly afford to do anything like this. Much of the construction at Seaford was fundd by afl and the government and I doubt they will do it again.

But it would be fantastic

I love this club

and more on the G and cricket situation
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl ... 6746235983

THE AFL's plans for March footy at the MCG are in turmoil.

Funding for the proposed redevelopment of Junction Oval to build an alternative first-class cricket venue has hit a political roadblock, leaving Cricket Victoria no choice but to exercise its right to keep the MCG until the end of its program each year.

Had it confirmed that the old museum building will be redeveloped into the "Visitors" or away teams changing rooms and amenities. The Museum is to have a revamp, under the main stand with a shed full of stored memorabilia to be displayed. Going after federal government money now. Seem pretty confident of that coming to fruition too..

The Old coaches offices where Rossco was housed, {which look like a shanty town} will be kept and redeveloped. Seriously i wouldn't house my dog in there!!!

No time frame given, as federal $$$$ takes awhile, but given they hope to be back playing VFL games in 2016 they will won't to start some time in 14'

As much as Seaford is more convenient for me since I live on the Peninsula, Moorabbin is way better from a history/fans perspective. Hopefully they can get some decent funding so that a first-class facility can be built there.

We don't play at Seaford, what is the real downside, apart from the fact it is already too small, and, they should hire in a Coffee Van if the pampered need a caffeine fix.

Why should the supporters be affected by Seaford, we play at Etihad...

The Greenies lefties and anyone associated with Topsy can you know what where, when and how
I never knew that Floppsy nor any of the other council loonies back in the day were greenies(?) :?

However, I do know that one Greens supporter was, and still is, really really pissed-off that we failed to stare down those nutters. IMHO that was far and away the greatest mistake in the history of our club!

Councillors come and go. The St Kilda FC is forever!!! Never for get that!

How many of those councillors are still on council today?
Where is our social club (and the in-question pokies) situated today?
Where are the grandstands that gave us the best suburban ground in the competition, today?
Where are the grandstands, that building them ended up putting us into debt, a debt that sent us from finally being the power club we should always have been, to nearly two decades as cellar-dwellers..., to almost out of existence?

Answer... the social club would be on the corner of Linton Street and South Road, and the grandstands would still be standing, and we still have our suburban fortress to play some home games from.

All our pain would have been rewarded!

Absolute disaster, tragedy..., and sacrilege. Nothing to do with greenies... there were none of them on our board that was being conned by Archie Fraser.

However..., we still have the lease. It doesn't have to happen overnight, but we must, and I'm confident that eventually we will... return to playing games at Moorabbin! 8-)
