Get Chocco Williams to fill that role. That way, should the club pull the trigger on Watters - not saying it will or should, but if it does - it'll be a quick and smooth transition without fuss or fanfare. If Watters doesn't like that, then stiff.

Love the word Exodus
Lost some unknown assistant and the worse record of keeping players on the park fitness guy and Laidley

Three people does not an Exodus make

Disarray!!!

Wow - how many Asst coaches did Rossy go thru?

Really Caro - '..Another domino has fallen at St Kilda..'

Really....stretching the momentousness of it all isn't it?

Mass Exodus - thought they meant players. obviously not.

Wow a rabble, can't wait to hear from the usual suspects.

No biggy.

Assistants move all the time, and Dean will be well in demand because of his assessment smarts, and Carlton would have deep pockets.

Wouldn't read anything into Watters stability from this move.

To be brutally honest. Who in their right mind would even apply for the Senior gig at the club if Watters gets the sack? None...why? Because whoever is leaking this crap is hurting the club not helping it.

Is that Miss Exodus?

Wasn't Exodus a movie?

BTW. Some of the usual suspects remind me of the anti semite pro zionists. A little confused or just misinformed.

Not good to lose a coach with AFL senior experience who SW wanted in the first place. Need him to be repleced by an experienced senior person.

magnifisaint wrote:So what assistants would want to come to St Kilda considering the revolving door policy?

Who's left?
We arent really a revolving door.

Danny Sexton has been there since 2006 and Adam Kingsley since 2011.

Asst coaching is generally revolving door job at all clubs.

This is a good opportunity to get someone good in. Plenty of coaching talent out there.

We offered him a one year contract, we obviously weren't that impressed with him.

I would have thought that was so he didnt cross when SW contract finished. We would be going real bad if we offerred him a contract but werent impressed with him. How stupid would that be.

Jude Bolton
Joel Corey
Martin Mattner
Daniel Cross
Adam Selwood

I know David Teague is looking for a club. Who else? Must be many more out there.

Not sure who, but I think that someone with lots of experience is needed. Especially if the "rumours" are true about SW.

more crap from kerocaro ...

His departure follows that of fitness boss Bill Davoren and assistant coach Jaymie Graham. Davoren is the second high performance boss to depart St Kilda in as many seasons amid ongoing reports of widespread disenchantment with Watters and his methods.

Watters remains in the position on a precarious basis and is still no certainty to coach the club next year.

The relationship between Watters and Pelchen also remains challenged and the coach has received at least two recent warnings in the past few weeks in relation to his job parameters.

Carlton had looked at pursuing several recently retired players or current veterans considering their futures to join the Blues under Malthouse. They had considered Cameron Ling and Lenny Hayes, who has chosen to play on, but ultimately chose to select an experienced assistant coach in Laidley, who has worked with Watters for the past two seasons.

I wonder what the 'warnings about job parameters" were for Watters- sounds a bit suss to me..advice is one thing, but warning is lot more finger-in-chest stuff
