He's so fat, there's two of him.

Coming from you Tony, that's good enough for me! Cheers!

I'm really looking forward to next season and watching our young blokes step up.

Will be taking my 3 year old son to the footy next year for the first time - I'm sure he'll love it, win or lose!

Just like life, the journey can be just as enjoyable as the destination. :)

Looking at the Colorado videos online, hearing the players talk and watching other footage I can almost feel the optimism and belief within the boys. Not uncommon with a new coach coming in and a new season on the horizon but it seems the players are a lot more upbeat that i've seen them for a while. They all look fit and happy and after a 5 win season and the overall opinion that it will get worse this season that's more than you could expect from the group.

Looking forward to staying up till the early hours of the morning to watch the games.

we as fellow supporters need to help these negative doomsday supporters. They have a terrible disease saintpola, caused by many many years of heart break and torment as supporters. One day we will win the holy grail and these blokes wont know wat to do , more offten than not they will jump ship to the bulldogs or alike. Most will will make a full recovery , Bmart not to sure on. So dont be to hard on the poor old bloke , i open my arms to you let it all out ...

I love this time of year.

Richardson - he's a champion coach. We've never lost a game under him.
New recruits - all guaranteed to be stars. Never seen them make a mistake.

Might as well enjoy it while we can.

While we're all guessing how we'll go in 2014, here's my two bobs worth;

It will be a bit of a yo-yo year with about 8 wins !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

It is Ok to be optimistic.

But we are coming from such a low base.

We are optimistic that this time we have actually appointed a coach that doesn't fall to pieces after 18 months.

I also believe that realisatically we will get pretty badly smashed about in 2014, but you dont have to be a football expert to work that one out.

The Saints were in a hole after the Lyon era, there was a slow start to the rebuild last year, a messy year with a bloke who unfortunately proved not to be up to it as head coach, in the midst, we had a pretty successful trading and drafting period where Pelchan got everything he said he would get and what the club needed.

Now we have a new coach and a bunch of players "training the house down".

Well that is good news but nothing that should not be expected.

Its OK to be optimistic, I am always optimistic, usually a glass half full than half empty. But realistic as well considering where we sit as a list and a club

I must say, however, it usually does say something about some people and their deep seated insecurities about their self worth to constantly critisise (without ever offering a solution).

Really, get out in the world and accept that you are insignificant, incredibly average, and a nobody, just like 99.9% of the worlds population. Once you do, you will be much happier with your life. :D

I just took the OP as indicating the players are pretty upbeat and that it is partly/largely due to the appointment of the new coach.

Not that the coach will necessarily prove to be a great success.

Or that we will win x number of games.

Just that the players are liking Richo.

And there ain't nothing wrong with any of us liking that.

If you don't see anything in the OP to get excited about then move on. There's plenty of others to choose from.

Like any coach- let's just wait and see. Richo is highly regarded (as was Watters) amongst his peers, and I'm still not convinced about some of the reasoning that has been put forward regarding Watters' demise- not that I knew if he was a good or bad coach. I guess results are what counts and I hope the club has learnt something about the concept of "long-term" in planning for success.

Judging from the odour, I think you may be right. Your body may continue to function "walking dead" style however, based on your significant consumption of KFC and the hormones contained therein.

PLayers enjoying their pre-season? All good. I bet they're enjoying it more than they did at the end of 2010. They were dragging their arses around like dogs with worms back then
