Injurys are a fact of footy ... gives one of the younger boys a chance to stake their claim ...
yeah we cant afford to become a basketcase but when talking injurys its kinda out of our control... hopefully Jack is back soon and fully healed and its not like Schnieds season last year

Totally agree with that Trav but no Joey and Jack in week 1 v Demons wont be what the Membership Dept want to hear for the more fickle fans
Foot injury"s seem to take a lot longer ,wonder if him and Gilbo have anything to do with the hard preseason that they did!Better to burn out than it is to rust?

They are a little different. Jack doesnt need an operation, just needs rest. Well hopefully thats all he needs.

look i think our membership numbers are going to suck win lose or draw against the Dee's ... just my opinion but i get the feel we are battering down the hatches to try and ride through this period there is pleanty we could be doing to try and keep the numbers up but i think we are kinda going into our shell again

Correct about membership numbers this year. Bugger all happens after round one. really worried about next year. And to all those who say the AFL will support us well you are 100% correct but you lose things if that happens and secondly the next TV rights are due soon. Hate to be on the bottom when they are being discussed.
i dont think there is ever a "good" time to be bottoming out pluggs .. especially for a smaller club like ours the only good thing i spose is that we are hitting bottom just as the compromised drafts come to an end .. imagine being in our situation with GWS and GC basically getting the entire first round of draft picks ... its a bit easier to build some excitment around a pick 1 , 2 ,3 or 4 but try doing that with a pick 9 ....
in my opinion the club need to start a "from the begining" membership promote it to the fans that they have the opportunity to stake their claim that they were there at the begining of this era . give the members who stick with our club or jump on board our club from this year a priority to future finals tickets for the next 10 years ... embrace that we are at the start of something , our club is 140years old so there are no "foundation" members so make a generation now foundation ...

This has to be the worst timing! We are minus two of our top 3 in the B&F last year for the crucial match against Melbourne... Have to hope for an upset!
Back in the early 2000's I used to feel the loss of a star player as a real blow. That it would have a real effect on our chances. The last few years I've thought that if we miss a player or two it can be covered. Never that bothered by it.
