Haha! This is me too...I love seeing Carlton getting flogged, then Malthouse doing his block at quarter and three quarter time...thinking "Thank God it's them and not us this time!"
All aboard the karma bus boys!

I think they're a lot further away from their next flag than we are, just quietly.

Tempting to brag and say I called this a couple of years back... except that it was I... and anyone else who looked at their list (Micky Meltdown aside, it seems  )... too easy.

All those very high draft picks, and for what?

No key forwards except for the ageing and always injured, always suspended Waite.

Yet, gave away the one young key forward they had, so as to tie-up their salary cap paying the prat's 'ambassador' to do one hastily arranged photo shoot with Juliar.
With where their list was at that time, IMHO they clearly got Judd in too early. (I note with great satisfaction that we are showing no signs of making such a 'timing' error. :D ) But best of all, he's slowing down markedly, but he's still there, tying-up their salary cap... Chris Judd, the gift that keeps on giving...

So no key forwards... and only marginally better off re key defenders.

On ballers... nearly all are classic downhill skiers.

No 1 draft picks... sure, Krusier is no Josh Fraser, but still, you'd really want a way better player for your No 1 draft pick. Besides, where does he actually play? :? IMHO, not strong enough for first ruck, not agile enough to play key forward... a (very) poor man's Kosi, sans the pack marking.

And then there's Bryce Gibbs. (Thank gawd for Jack Watts... ) But Carlscum could just get lucky here. Isn't he up for free agency, and aren't the Crones (gawdknowswhy?) supposed to be very interested? Can anyone confirm...?

"No Limits"
That was Mick's catchcry at the start of the season.

Well let's hope there is NO LIMIT to the extent of their self destruction and descent back down the ladder to where this group of filth so richly belong.
They have been and remain the scumbags of the competition and I delight in their every loss.

And what's with Bryce Gibbs asking the club to audition for the privilege of his services !!!!

- who at Carlton is putting together the PowerPoint presentation to Bryce? (Tip - it won't be Sticks!)
- will Bryce be allowing more than one representative of the club to be present?
- when is the date and venue Bryce has specified?
- what other personnel will Bryce have with him or is he keeping that private?

Or more to the point
- why are Caaaarlton letting one over-rated player try and hold them to ransom?

They have clearly got it wrong Dave in a lot of places. The one to me that totally defies any semblance of logic is Heath Scotland being put on the rookie list at 33. WTF?

I'm surprised Sticks hasn't made Squibbs stop wearing his famous number 4 by now.

But they don't need Scottland's 33 possessions a game now they are paying $1 million to Daisy for his 12 disposals a week from his one good foot. A mate who's nephew played at Collingwood with Daisy and still uses the same surgeon said that Daisy had been in three times last year trying to smash the joint surface to stimulate the growth of cartilage. That's generally not a great sign for a running player.

in hinesight do you reckon Judd regrets choosing Carlton ? sure he got big $$ in the move but he wouldnt exactly got paid peanuts had he gone to any of the other Melbourne clubs nor had he stayed at WCE ... at the time Judd was looking for a new home there was next to no chance of him coming to us due to our SC pain also at the time the talk was we were on the spiral down after coming close in 2004 and 2005 so from that mind Carlton were to be the team on the rise and the best chance for Juddy to win another flag .... 7 years later St Kilda played in finals almost every year including a prelim and 2 grandfinals ... Carlton only made up numbers in that period in the finals ...

What do you mean ???? He was on the radio today saying their would be a draft at the end of the year and then another one the year after that ...........this guy really knows his stuff
Thank god he's there, busso mick. While he and shithouse are at the controls, the scum are doomed to a self perpetuating cycle of mediocrity and worse. Happy days!

Was anyone else at Princes Park the day that Bruce Philips leant the goal post over so the ball went through for a point? (Anyone else on Saintsational I mean. There were thousands there, mostly Carlscum supporters).

I'm sure that Hannibal Judd will regret the damage his gouging, biting and scratching antics have done to his standing in the game.

to be fair he had the hot wife at West Coast so its fair to say he would still had her regardless of the club he went to .. the fat wallet he could have got from any club , you cant tell me that Judd wouldnt have a million dollar channel 9 contract had he gone to Collingwood.... even if he went for less money at say Hawthorn he would have two (possibly three) more flags to his name .

I think they're paying the price of hubris, more than anything else.

Classical case of players believing in their own hype, not wanting to do the heavy lifting, hoping others would carry the load - then everyone is hovering and waiting for a receiving pass.

Don't get me wrong, they might wallop us and others with this approach, but it won't win them a flag.

I rarely take joy in the misery of others but this is my personal schadenfreude against a club which, whilst successful when the competition was known as the VFL, sincerely over-estimates its own pulling power in the modern day. They act like a big club but I reckon no club benefits more from the AFL "creating" blockbusters like Carlton does.

(They have a much smaller fan base than the big four Victorian clubs. Hawthorn now a much bigger and more powerful club.)

I'm enjoying watching them implode. Heaven knows they've loved having it over us over the years - their supporters took particular joy in our mediocrity of decades past.

We've dominated them in the past decade and will probably do so for much of the next. And I don't usually have much emotion regarding the failure of others, but Carlton's wannabe, falsified arrogance has been their greatest undoing.

It's glorious, glorious stuff.

I am sure that if Carlton were ever a genuine threat again, they could shoot up the charts as "most despised"

Thank you sweet little lord baby jesus that Malthouse ended up there and not with us.
Not me Dragit. I remember all too well the 100 point pastings at Princes Park, and later the soft free kicks and 35 minute final quarters enabling them to get unearned 1 point wins to let that hate wane - and I have two members of my family who actually played (and one coached) these SOBs. Me and my cousins - and now my sons - hate Carlton more than any other side - except Essendon.
Can't wait for Mothers' Day Monday, it's gonna be ugly. (last year I didn't want to go, soft I know - but I got home from work and my son was all dressed up in his sainters gear telling me that I had to go and boy did I think the lad afterwards!).

don't reckon they'll get us this year Everton (not twice anyway). Love your patter though, big fan.
I have seen a lot of games over the years where our supporter base dwarfed theirs - in terms of numbers and noise.

I wonder if they will panic now, rush back Judd and bring Waite in. We could beat them twice again this year.
