I have pointed out on this site that his kicking has been very average the past three weeks.............. often missing targets, chipping ball up and over intended player's head. Not his usual run and carry. Opponents able to break his tackles. Hard chasing he aint doing at present. All says to me he has been carrying leg, groin(?) injury.
Or I hope we are not going to get a Goddard, Dal Santo year from him. Those 2 were able to lose their effectiveness, yet mask it by still racking up statistics/possessions. Hope Joey's not going down that path, and he's just playing injured at the moment.

Missing a 25m pass from a kick-in is unacceptable from a bloke with his skills and experience. This lead directly to a goal, when, at that stage in the 2nd quarter, a couple of goals either way could have changed the result.
He had a good half last week, but other than that (including the 3 practice matches) he hasnt shown a lot.
There were the reports last year about being thrown around as trade bait, he's really the last one of that golden generation (with Roo, but I'd be shocked if he walked now) with any value. So I wouldnt be surprised if we lost another champ in the next 6 months.
