No idea how he is being out coached unless players not being able to hit someone 30 metres away is his fault.

Clear tactics used by Sanderson, and Richo didn't counteract it in the second quarter- poor skills are another story

What about the appalling skill level? Geary, Jones and Maister would be enough to sink any coach.

The tctics only worked in the first quarter. They beat us because they were better in second quarter. The balme lies in ability not the coach. At least 4 times that quarter a good average kick to a player would have got us goals but they stuffed up.

Agreed. Never understood this "outcoached" BS. Always heard it about GT. THink it is just a lazy way to not blame appalling disposal, decision making, and a better opposition.

Skills not coaching is why we are 44 points behind at half time. Don't be so quick to scapegoat the coach over poor skills

Poor skills and lack of composure.

This is hardly new however is not pleasant all the same.

Nothing to do with coaching, the bloke is 3.5 games into what ideally is a long-term career with us, how the fudge are we really meant to know how he coaches?

A lot of young kids out there and I think they are struggling after a big effort against West Coast and a bit of travel to get used to ,having said that Maister even though you can't question his effort ,his skills are just not there ,Lee is starting to kick goals in the ressies(2 in the 1st quarter today)Billings on fire also so some good news, hope the last half we lift !

Certainly under siege in that second quarter. Was a little worried about this game being a struggle physically for the players after the trip out west last week.

Very difficult to see us getting back into this contest, but I have a feeling this group has some character and won't just lie down and put the cue in the rack.

Isn't the coach there to work on players skills ?

I actually think they would have little if anything to do with that.

My only gripe with the coaching is the "chaos" balls (or whatever they call them) into forward 50. Be fine if we could get contested ball but it doesn't work.

The assistants and specialist coaches take care of that. Lindsay Gilbee and co. take care of that side of things. In any event, when the likes of Geary, Jones and Maister have been shyte kicks all of their careers, there's not much any coach can do.

Why only 2 changes after returning from Perth?

That's My gripe when dealing with kids who need to bw regularly rotated in and out of the side

Do you know more than the medical staff or coaches?

they make the changes or did you want us to get beaten by 150 by having more light bodied kids playing?

I agree with SP here

No point playing guys a little lame or tired.

Joey still had a big chunk of ice on his calf at training, clearly his kicking was off too

We were clearly underprepared for their strategy in the first half. From early on, our players didn't have a clue who they should pick up. On leaving the bench they ran out onto the field with their arms outstretched still not knowing where they were going and looking for direction.

The coach will admit that he had a shocker. All new coaches do, no matter how long they had been assistants. I'm confident he will learn. He'd better.

Clearly our skills are woeful, especially our handball. It must be very hard to miss a teammate from a metre away, but we did it time and time again.

I disagree.

Part of rebuilding is accepting there will be weeks like this where you take a step backwards in order for the youngsters to learn and develop in the near future.

I don't think it's a good idea to just shield youngsters from the rigours of having to back up the next week after a tough road trip; it's something they're going to have to get accustomed to sooner or later.

The scoreboard indicates a problem?

If they had a spare.... We did?

Who and where?
