Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Then why even say that comment? Put me on ignore instead of whinging. And if you are going to whinge then get your facts right. I didnt have a go at our club for the injury to Armo but if you thinks its ok then go for it.

I agree Stinger.
Hope Armo comes back soon. The more mids we have the better. That is where we will improve in the short term and then hopefully bag a tall forward in the longer term as there must be some huge doubts on Lee and slight doubts on White. Armo is the perfect player to show the younger guys how to attck the footy especially with Lenny in his last year.

Re: Armo in hospital with knee infection
There is an interesting article on afl website about Armo.
Was he unlucky or were our medical staff negligent in letting him back on after 10 stitches?
I don't know the answer. Maybe it common.
I've also had a wound get infected after a few stitches from going swimming soon after the operation after getting medical clearance. Sometimes medics need a bit of caution and awareness of infection risk.

Re: Armo in hospital with knee infection
Looks like David is a lucky boy as they got the infection early.
Not sure about him going back on or not as far as our medical team were concerned , think he was unlucky. From memory the knee was bandaged so might have it infected when cut given the size of the wound.
I suffered an infection in my knee in 2012 and was told that infections in the knee joint are very hard to treat if not caught early and that they are quite common. Spent nearly a month in hospital and had to have a further three operations to get rid of the nlood in the joint and the infections as well as having multiple anti biotics pumped in me. Lost a heap of weight and spent six months on crutches and months in rehab. There was a real risk of losing the leg.
So all the best to Armo glad he is on the mend as he would have been a bit crook.

Re: Armo in hospital with knee infection
It stated that they stitched it up with dirt and grass still inside the wound. I guess I would say that the medical team were out of line allowing him to go back on, especially since we were getting thrashed and it did not matter. Players welfare must be protected at all timessaintspremiers wrote:There is an interesting article on afl website about Armo.

Re: Armo in hospital with knee infection
Questions need to be asked about Dangerfields boots. I assume it was the studs that did the damage.
Do the umpires still check the studs before a game?
Or did Dangerfield take a blade into the match?

Jeez didn't realise it was so bad. I suppose s*** happens but you'd think that's what the sub was intended to be used for - to sub out players who are at risk if they keep playing. Hope they take time with him now. No point rushing. He's a big part of our future.perfectionist wrote:http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-04-24/s ... nkind-cut-
