Why don't the umpires want to reward the tackler.

Why can't we kick to the open spaces and let Roo, Siposs and Stanley run into the space instead of to a set contest? We have the better closing pace.

Why? Soyou can bag him too?
Wont be bagging him but yes will bag someone on $700-800k per annum who has been down for a month and a bloke who who has played 150 games who has also been poor for a month..

We have 12 blokes with <35 games experience so we cant have our big gun highly paid mature players being passengers. We are not a retirement village/superannuation fund for the class of 09.

I think he's shown a bit this quarter. He may not make it, but I have him ahead of Maister, Stanley and Lee as a key forward

Even commentators bagging the umpires.

Really that No.25 should not be umpiring.

He cost us games last year with his pathetic consistency.

It wont cost this game but his decisions tonight have cost us multiple goals.

Really think the guy is not fit to umpire. Sure umpires make mistakes but this guy is worse than Ray Kelsey

When bj left it was for $850k and the Saints said they wouldn't pay over $650 for a player.

Only Roo on between 700-800 a year.

cj is just about gone, but Joey is not and if you think so it is just reactionary and a bit emotional if you ask me.

Yeh Id stick with Siposs at the moment. Maister got a lot more time than him and provided the same as Siposs is now. He would have a better shot if the midfield was hitting targets. Wouldn't write him off yet.

Yes, he had a good quarter. If he follows it up, will hold his spot.

He looked down on confidence, so hopefully that helped.

SO Joey has been poor for a month????
He got 39 against hawthorn, 37 against Brisbane and 31 against Essendon, his quietest game was 21 last week. Geez, if thats a quiet month then I can't wait for him to get busy.

AFL rules say you have to pay 95% of the SC. So Joey has to be on 700k.

Never said he was gone - hes in our top 3 players. But he has been CRUISING for a month.

Well if we can kick 5 goals in the last quarter it hasn't been too bad a game in the end. Go Saints!!!!

Yes there are some skill problems but the rest of the season is a chance to test whether long term these skill issues will continue.

How about we get behind a VERY young, VERY inexperienced and struggling team. How about we give the gold coast some credit. Their skills are great, they went first round for a reason. Now they know the running patterns, have played together for seasons. Their midfield will be top two this time next year. I would kill for a swallow, omeara, bennall etc.

Thought for the most part the key backs have competed well. Bruce still a work in progress but will develop IMO.
We miss wright and geary as small defenders which puts pressure on webster. Ray working hard down back.
I would not mind subbing acres on for CJ and tell the kid to just run with gary and LEARN.
The forward line is still a work in progress. I still think they might click but when you are losing the midfield battle the inside 50 usage will always make it hard. I like sippa and Stanley with milera, just needs to click. Play them for a block of football to learn to play with each other.
The midfield is struggling, dunstan gets better as games go on. Weller is currently a tagger or nothing. Perhaps it's time to release curran to generate some inside ball for himself? We miss armos body and need at least two more midfielders for depth.

Richo and team need our support, we knew this would be a tough season. See the forrest from the trees people!!!
Not many of us expected a win but most of us expected an effort, and what a difference a bit of effort can make

Newnes. Had a shocker last week but responded this week. That shows real character. Potential future Skipper.
