Well done!
Has done it the hard way and has done an apprenticeship.
Him and Seb Ross have been the consistent Sandy performers for a while now.

Played as a medium forward at Norwood before we rookied him, ( kicked 47 goals in 17 games) llooks like he might be quite versatile , deserves a good run at it ...

He does not look too bad. He had to play out of position and against blokes that were much bigger and strong than him and to his credit, he did okay.

Re: Cam Shenton an absolute positive standout
I thought he was probably the standout positive for us from the game - Milera , Bruce and Weller also noteworthy and Steven seems to be back in form - ------biggest negative - we are no where near ready for Lenny to retire - hopefully he can go round for another year
Re: Cam Shenton an absolute positive standout
I like his willingness to spread when we have the ball most times he was the one running off to create
Re: Cam Shenton an absolute positive standout
I liked that he ignored demands for the footy and made better decisions

He broke team rules....kicking to team-mates in space, creating options, running in support. Does he not know that he is not meant to do such things....
AND Milera, did exactly the same. .... what were these two players thinking????

Re: Cam Shenton an absolute positive standout
I though he was really good. Great to see another rookie listed player work hard, get his chance, and really show something. Well done Cam Shenton
Re: Cam Shenton an absolute positive standout
Panther had a good game but some of his defensive efforts needed more aggression/physicality - he stood back a bit. Only game 3 so good luck to him.
I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.

Re: Cam Shenton an absolute positive standout
Thought he was unlucky not to get more of a go last year and I hope he goes on with it from here.
Now I would like to see Seb Ross get a crack at it - not as the sub, but a guaranteed 3 game block just to try and adjust to the pace. He has been improving bit by bit and I just get the feeling that he can make it - but he isn't going to dazzle first game up and needs time on the ground to slowly improve. Now is the time to invest.

Life is never more fun than when you're the underdog competing against the giants.

Watching him all night and thought this bloke has not put a foot wrong. Good disposal and decision making. Will get more games with a performance like that.

Re: Cam Shenton an absolute positive standout
I have been a long term fan. Great to see the wild man, Panther, Wolfman, Shaggy what ever have a break out game. Newnes was the highest fantasy score getter on the ground and looked very accomplished too. He turned a corner against the Hawks where he stayed very composed even in heavy traffic and pressure. Around 30 possessions . He's a bit like Joey though he gets big numbers without noticing the dominance.
