One of McCartin, Wright or Durdan sounds alright...

Only seen highlights so have no idea - but all seem rated!

Lottery for bottom group, minimum of 3 maximum of 5 in case the 4th and 5th worst teams are only one win better than the 3rd last

Principle of Q'uo wrote:... how about
16th receives Pick 1
17th receives Pick 2
'n 18th gets #3 'n the spoon.
add 9th gets Pick4

and thats two other problems fixed.
Imagine the jockeying down if you're 14th or 15th and can't finish 9th?

The best option is a lottery for the bottom 4.
4 balls for last, 3 for 17th, 2 for 16th and 1 for 15th.

So that's 10 balls.
10% chance 15th gets pick 1
20% chance 16th gets pick 1
30% chance 17th gets pick 1
40% chance 18th gets pick 1

Last needs some priority in the Lottery IMO.

Can we please wait until we have finished the rebuild & are on our way up the ladder before we start talking about draft lotteries?

Just our luck we'll finish last in 2015 & end up with pick 5 if a lottery came in.

I think the Dees still have some upside - Jesse 'Hulk' Hogan is set to return at some stage.

GWS - well anything can happen - but I cant see them overtaking us.

Lions - I cant see them overtaking us

BUT

I assume the Lions play GWS so one of them will have to win another game at least.

So I reckon we will finish 2nd last

So by that logic we should forfeit the rest of the season and have the team go on its end of season trip already?
A Mad Monday in the middle of winter would actually be sensible and cost effective.

The pubs could save on heating when CJ lights up a few dwarves

Mike Patterson did that once in 1978 after we lost six games in a row heavily - more heavily than this year. The next Saturday we got up and beat the reigning premier at their home ground.

I like it a lot! Its like how in chicken farms they turn the lights on a few times a day so the chickens lay more eggs cos they think its two days!
We can have a mad monday now and the lads might get confused and think they are back from pre-season and fired up for round one :D :D

Well unless we win another game which based on current form I cant see then I think both sides will pass us. They at least have a home state advantage. The only hope of a win IMO is WB. Tigers are pathetic but will beat us because they are just better.

We don't look like winning another game at the moment, but generally even terrible teams pull one or two games out of the hat when least expected. It will be a raffle bvetween us Lions and GWS. the three early ones might save us from collecting another one, hopefully because the pantry is full

I believe we will beat the Dullbogs, Richmond, and Carlton. Hey! I know that there's not much in the current formbook to justify my optimism, but I still believe those boys can win six games this year! GO SAINTS! (to hell with the rest!)

If all teams had played each other by the end of round 17 the line could be drawn then to determine the draft order. Discarding the remaining results over the final rounds would allow all sorts of 'interesting' performances by clubs at the bottom of the ladder as tanking would not come into play.

How about we just leave the system alone for the next couple of years until we secure our no. 1 or no. 2 pick.
I don't fancy the saints when it comes to luck.

My fear is that we will win the spoon, be the only team fined for " tanking" loose our draft picks, have our licence taken from us and all our players given to Essendon , to assist them after the infraction notices. This is the " contingency " plan that the AFL have in mind.
Oh , wait a minute Andy's left the building , the AFL need a new plan

I think I am starting to appreciate Pelchens 3 in top 20 philosophy more and more.
The top 20 is a bit of a lottery. If you get three players there is a good chance two will be good.
Not sure many picked Kim Kardashian for rising star but he now looks the strong favourite .

Our chances of a win will increase when we start getting some injured players back.

Well it was so good I thought it deserved repeating :-)

The Lions are giving the old dish lickers a bath right now.

When do we play the crotch sniffers? Heat is on Mccartney.
