guys
i am a collector of old vfl football matches, and i collect games for all teams, mainly for the period of 1982 to 1990. I have a big collection, however, i still require certain st kilda games to fill some gaps, those games are:
1984 r2 collingwood v st kilda at victoria park
1984 r8 st kilda v footscray at moorabbin
1986 r12 st kilda v footscray at moorabbin
1988 r7 west coast v st kilda at wacca
1988 r14 brisbane v st kilda at carrara
1988 r15 st kilda v carlton at moorabbin
i have already exhausted all avenues to obtain these games, such as, name a game/sports delivered, ch 7, abc, afl, the competing clubs, torrents, youtube. I know getting the full games would be really hard for this era, although the 2 interstate games were shown live into Melbourne, but if i can find the tv replays at all, that would be great.
I can transfer any old games from any kind of tape, ie, vhs or beta, to dvd with no troubles.
if anyone can assist me at all with any of these games, then i would really love to hear from you
thank you

Why would you want any of those games. I was at every single one of them bar the 1988 at the WACA - a night game where we got flogged and barely scored - and every single one of those games was appalling.
Oh, sorry I assumed you barracked for us.

Didn't go to the interstate ones - but saw the others.
Not much joy in any of them.
They were dismal games.
After the 3 goal debacle against WCE in 88 I was so frustrated that I started to demolish an internal wall I had been meaning to remove for a couple of years to open up my kitchen.
Got out the sledge hammer and crowbar and by 3am the wall was down
Wouldn't care if there was no record of those games.
Though the 79 game against Collingwood would be WORST game I EVER saw.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

I was at that game at the WACA in 1988. Rained, Friday night, got thrashed. Terrible memory. I was living in Perth at the time. I attended a Saints breakfast next morning where the Doc and allan Davis were meant to be there. They never fronted....out scouting a new player was the excuse. Highly doubtful. Cowboy and Seira' were the only ones of note there. Very disappointing.samuraisaint wrote:Why would you want any of those games.
