About 300 there. My car got wedged in due to insufficient parking staff to police the parking. Eventually got out. I had to leave just before 11 but the players hadn't come out. I spoke to a former player who said the $8M community development of Moorabbin looked terrific (he's seen the plans).

I managed to get along to Moorabbin, with my Grandaughter, and found it to be an enjoyable morning. The boys came around the boundary fence and chatted with us barrackers, one player even recognised me from the membership video, and my stints of cheerleading in bay 19! Hopefully we will see the old ground become a closer part of our lives as we launch our VFL side in 2016!

joey has announced (via body language) to everyone that was in attendance he is moving on at the end of the year to free up more room in the salary cap

So what? As long as we get compensated who cares!!!! Another pick immediately after our second round pick will do nicely.
You should have used a question mark after "who cares". If you don't know why we care, then you are what we suspect you are. A pick around mid twenties for Joey? F&@k off, I say! We want more!
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

from my observation and despite him proving to some he is a saints supporter - EVERY post/ thread about players this poster enters a comment is generally indicating that there is unrest and they all want to leave- for goodness sake-- They want to stay------ even the ones that left wanted to stay... (Hence was can only come to the assumption that if you are a saints supporter your not a very loyal one- being loyal to me means being loyal to the team we currently have and well as the club)
to have a striong future does not mean throwing away the' heart, soul and just plain veins of the club or allowwing then to be being' shoved' out the door by supporters who only want an under 23 team.......

BTW
training was done in sunshine and whilst this session- classed the captains run- is always a light session , there are always little things you can see
how many shot and from where was Nick having at goal
who was playing kick to kick with the coach
who had a one on one chat with Hamill
which players did less running than others,
which back up player was out there and which wasn't
how many injured players wandered the boundary chatting to supporters and having photos taken
the smile on #19's face at being back out there.
how many Lenny passes and the systematie way they were sold
how many lenny T's went out the door
I'd say several 100 in attendance.
Lots of young and very young children being introduced to the saintly way
Normally open training is used to gain some media.
This was merchandise and player autograph focused event with the sausage sizzle and even Trevor The Saint in attendance (my 2 year was fascinated by him, hilarious to watch! ). Even had some music pumping through a few speakers.
Really good event, cheap to run, good feel good factor for fans. They should run open training at Moorabbin next year on Saturday mornings several times next season, perhaps about 4 for the year.
