Oh dear. Didnt even think of that but you are probably right.
They will buy everyone and anyone.
Goodesy out: Ryder in. Mike Pyke is 30.
Swans would be perfect for Ryder. Would they do it for a pick 17/18???
Bombers would probably be happy with that.

Their first round pick. Assuming they are premiers or runners up they would be around pick 18 would they not?

Swans would love Ryder but Swans are locked into Heeney with their first rounder.
If they choose Ryder over Heeney (unlikely) we can get Heeney with pick 1.
The kid looks real real good.

Don't think they could fit him into their cap.

Knowing Sydney's luck, Ryder will break his contract on a technicality and they'll just scoop him up in the PSD, like they did with Tippet… tinnie bastards.

I wonder if this might be, at least contingently, a claim maximisation tactic.

He's highly likely to have been a recipient of a Show Cause notice - they ran 3 groups, with the oldies and the dead weight getting little (probably placebos for comparision in the case of some drugs), the younguns and those with obvious deficiencies in another group and the cream of the list/right age bracket being the main group. You'd have to think Ryder would have been in the last group.

So, maybe, just maybe, his manager and/or legal rep thinks they're in deep strife, and they're looking to maximise the claim against E'dope.

One way to do that would be to pre-negotiate a move elsewhere (and let's face it, no-one moves for less dosh), then use the offered contract as the base line for claiming against E'dope.

I don't know if it would work legally, but I reckon it might (if the contract could be pre-agreed before they get whacked).

As I mentioned, it may be just contingent thinking. Might go hand in glove with Ryder having woken up, too.

Apparently his manager will use a new clause introduced by the AFL after this saga started which allows any Essendon player to break their contract terms with the club due to this drugs situation and move directly to the club of their choice and Essendon get NO compensation in any form.

If this is the case, I really hope Pelchin has been in the ear of a few of their boys already.

If they're looking down the barrel of a suspension, then a long term contract that would give them some security post-ban would be highly attractive.

I'd have Heppell and Hurley down at Seaford pretty quickly, despite any pending ban!!!

Given she is reportedly freaked after bearing children while he was injected with who knows what, think its fair she wants her mum.

And this is exactly how the Bummers could be left with a seriously depleted list even without any bans!

Karma bus anyone?

Got to love his manager. Sounds like the Luke ball situation without the drugs. Although I don't feel for Essendon I just don't like their manager that leaves the original club with nothing, only to line his own pocket.
