After the game, when the umps have left the arena, the second siren sounds and anyone that wants too can jump the fence and sprint to the centre. First one there gets a prize. It was great seeing that in the "old days". :D

I'd like to hear the Saints song after games more than three times next season.

Wonder why the crowds are withering? In years past the numbers have gone up, up.

I'd like to see opposition supporters seated in a different part of the ground so we don't have to sit next to them, unless of course they happen to be a friend, family member or relative who you normally go to a game with when the two teams meet each other.

Also, a drop in food and drink prices, cheaper seats and bringing back curtain-raisers before the main game.

Im completely different to you on the opposition. The great part of our game is that we aren't separated. 99% of the time its just friendly banter. I reckon that's great. Being with only pro Saints fans and hearing them bagging us is far worse than the opposition supporters bagging our side. I really hope it never comes to that in the AFL.

Reduce the blaring music that runs right up to the bounce of the ball. I go to the footy to talk with my mates before the game - who's in or out, the opposition, what's in store for the day's play, etc etc - and other footy garbage.

We go to the footy to watch and talk about the footy - not listen to the ads and music

I am going to keep asking for a saints crest that shines up the side of etihad, for night games, like batman.

Like that night in the city where images are projected on buildings.

Would make it feel like home.

Add - The opportunity to just rock up without reserved seating, and sit with your friends in an okay area of the ground. Don't care if it's mixed with the opposition supporters, which I actually think is healthy.

Have the seconds playing before the main game.

Remove - Turn down the speaker volume for ads and general carry on, music etc. Or just remove the crap altogether.

Reduce the noise pollution for a start...

I don't need to hear the siren blast 6 times before the first bounce
Nobody cares for commercials on the loud speaker
Nor am i interested the blaring pop music for that matter

Am not interested in the half-time show... I get that its a family fun thing but can we keep it to 5 minutes

Nor do i care to hear interviews from Dunstall or whoever strategising RE the game at the break. If i was interested in that, i'd bring my own radio

Chips, a burger and chips for less than $15.00 would tempt me to buy things again

And it would be cool to run out onto the stadium after the game

Take away Kiss-cam, that "microphone prostitute" James Sherry, audible advertising and noise pollution in general.

Bring back the scoreboard in the little league.
Warm up game.
Giant floggers.
Fence banners.
De-sanitised run through banner messages.
Kicking/throwing footballs into the crowd after the game.

If we can't have a curtain raiser, then they should have a game on live on the scoreboard that is currently in play. Not an hour and half of adds and a replay of a game from years ago.
I like the saint logo idea, maybe you should pitch that directly to the club.

Good Stadium Eexperiences

Post: # 1518014Post Megamaguire »

I agree wholeheartedly with some above highlighting the blaring ads and 6 (?) siren blasts to wake the dead.
I always hate seeing the ads everywhere especially the revolving ads - would have thought it diminished the tv 'experience'.
I know the ads are all about $$ but i'd love a purer spectacle - no desecration of the green turf and a minimal approach to visual and auditory ads.
Curtain raisers would be nice for players at different competition levels to play in front of the ever - increasing crowd mostly coming to witness the big event. It would be a real thrill for some of the young guys.

Go SAINTS !

Agreed, sick of dealing with a talking head like James Sherry who isn't even a Saints supporter and is only there to plug sponsorship rubbish. And please don't take him to Wellington. I far preferred Barney from the Westpac Stadium, maybe we could employ him here.

Bring back Russell Morris and have a "Where are they now?" with footage of the player being interviewed on the scoreboard so the younger supporters can get a bit of our history.
