Good point. Melbourne had 5 top 5 picks on Sunday and we had one. And we obviously lost.

he's the Sam Fisher type steals we need to leap frog other teams loaded with top 20 picks!! Love watching him play. Sometimes he goes so hard and fast he's too quick for himself and fumbles :-)

Just to put his game into perspective ...
Herald Sun stats, "pressure acts"
(from memory)

J Lonie: 35
D Minchingham: 26 (puts Minch's game into some perspective too!)
Another St Kilda player 24
The top Melbourne player: 23
Some other St Kilda players 23, 22
Nobody else in the 20s

We have high picks all out yesterday.

Billings and McCartin.

We had a bloke pick @ No.41 instrumental in getting it to Leigh Montagna (pick 37) for the winning goal while Joeys direct opponent ( #4 Jimmy Toumpas in the 2012 draft) gave Joey 20 metres to run free into the goal square with 20 seconds left.

Yup worth it to be like Melbourne and get #4.

Garry Lyon commented tonight that all the focus on Jack S and Joey when we shouldn't underestimate the crumbing effort from Lonie.

Sorry given other threads that should be "commentationated"

That goal he sneaked, practically pick-pocketed was brilliant.
