I think the lists are are done for this year. No more changes.

But yes Sinclair will be upgraded for 2016 for sure (barring injury).
I don't think that's right. I reckon you can't promote a rookie after about round 17.
I am just going on this:

http://www.saints.com.au/news/2015-06-2 ... s-revision
But with clubs only able to nominate one player after the bye, it means he can no longer call on the likes of promising youngster Jack Sinclair or American convert Jason Holmes unless another player moves to the long-term injury list.

Curren will be out for the year and moved to the LTI list.. Sinclair back this week no doubt.

Minchington will be spewing, with billings also likely.

That just means you get one free upgrade after the bye which we used on Schneider.. But if a player goes on the long term injury list, you can still replace him with a rookie.

I know there is lots of talk about developing a winning culture in the senior side, but winning a flag at Sandy would be terrific for some of the kids, not to mention stalwarts like Simpkin, TDL, Jones and Curren.

Outside of Paddy, who is coming along nicely, I thought Hickey had a good game.

Might be good for Sinclair's development to play VFL the rest of the year and play in the guts, instead of just in a pocket. He was super impressive today, his work in the middle, speed and disposals were first rate. If he keeps working in this then he will develop a sizeable string to his bow and keep him from being a flash in the pan

Yes. Nothing to do with Rd 17 though. You made that up.
But out of interest - what if you put a guy on the LTI list in Rd 18? It is supposedly for a minimum of 8 weeks. Does it carry over in to next season?

I don't think he made it up, just got the round 1 week wrong. No more LTI promotions after round 18.

So what is the verdict? Is Sinclair back in next week or not? Also, how many did Paddy kick?

until scans this week and severity of injury known then no decision will be made- and these things happen on Thursdays.

will await the review from club/ coaches.
it was also a tight tussle and missed opportunities. points a plenty

saw a couple of runs forward - which I feel would be why he was positioned down there--
he missed targets but that is the theme of the weekend.
Noted a coach chatting to him as he left the ground at half time- feedback

only saw some of the second half due to crowd so didn't note specific work then

paddy kicked 4.2, dished one off as mentioned, but was very good, could have had a few more with a little more experience/strength. Took some really great marks. Fantastic pair of hands and a good read of the flight of the ball. Great once it hits the ground too. Maybe going early, but will definitely be a good enough full forward for a premiership team as he's not a one trick pony like boyd (though with boyd his one trick could be enough), a good team player. But equal to paddy's prospects is "Jeff" Sinclair! something very special about him. Great game all round!

Thanks for the reports all. By the sounds of it Sinclair may go from rookie straight into the starting midfield next week.

Bad luck for Acres and Curren

Paddy played well, was taking good strong contested marks and kicking goals from the forward pocket.

The Zebras would hold on and record their forth win in a row, which ensured the week will be spent inside the VFL top four.

Sandringham’s ‘big 3’ of Clint Jones (38 disposals, 18 tackles), Mitch Brown (33 disposals, 7 marks) and skipper Adam Cockie (24 disposals, 11 tackles) led the way once again, coming up big when the team needed leaders to stand up.

Jack Sinclair was classy on debut for the Zebras, collecting 22 touches and laying 9 tackles, while Daniel McKenzie was impressive with 20 disposals and 7 marks.

Up forward, Paddy McCartin was sensational. Not only did he kick 4 goals and take 8 marks, but also he finished the game with 7 scoring shots and had a number of goal assists. Acres and Curren going down forced a restructure from senior coach Paul Hudson, and his move of Cam Shenton paid dividends as he kicked 2 goals and provided an option up forward.

The tests continue for Sandringham, who will next travel to Victoria Park on Saturday to take on the in-form Collingwood
.
