Jay Schulz
According to the Herald Sun, Schulz may be a Saint next year and out of contract, is 30 years old surely not? Handy player but too old.
St Kilda could be positioned to swoop on Schulz, with the cashed up Saints needing back up for skipper Nick Riewoldt, who’s currently hobbled by a calf strain.
Riewoldt is very much in the twilight of his career while Schulz could be a prudent shepherd for No1 draft pick, Patty McCartin and Josh Bruce who missed Riewoldt in a 63-point loss to the Power on Sunday.
Having snared coach Alan Richardson from Port, St Kilda declined to elaborate on any interest in Schulz saying: “It wasn’t appropriate to comment on at this point.”

We could be positioned to swoop on Bernie Quinlan too.coopergrech wrote:According to the Herald Sun, Schulz may be a Saint next year and out of contract, is 30 years old surely not? Handy player but too old.

Re: Jay Schulz
....When asked for comment, Schulz wasnt giving much away. "I know nothing" was the response when asked about the Saints, who are looking at strengthening their scoring capability in 2016....

Re: Jay Schulz
This has got to be a joke... Bruce, McCartin, Membrey all more deserving of game time than an aging Schulz, even Hickey, Siposs, White or Lee would be more of an investment up forward

Throw in Zac 'Richard' Dawson ( there's an unintended pun if I ever saw one lol), and Charlie 'Ivan' Dixon and our reboot is on!tony74 wrote:Particularly if we get our required draft choicesstevie wrote:Get Jesse Hogan and we are halfway to remake heaven

Surely that's all it is! I guess they couldn't find anyone else who might want him. Surely the Kangaroos are the obvious one, he's an obvious upgrade on Waite.gringo wrote:I think someones manager is trying to up his contract for next year.

Re: Jay Schulz
Fremantle are real keen which smacks of desperation. Seems like Lyon is not interested in developing his young players. Can't see them winning it this season so they might also fall in a big hole. If that's the case would he go to Carlton next year?

The whisper (which I may now making up) is that we sign Schulz for one year and after Freo are beaten in the GF this season, Lyon will do a straight swap for him and Lachie Weller to us.
Masterful plan by our recruiters.

Schulzy must have kept a couple of those pictures he took of Richo on their last end of season trip together.
