If we play a backline of Geary, Fisher, Dempster, Gilbert, Carlisle, Savage every week we will have oldest back-line in the AFL.

Is that fact? I think Gilbert will play in the middle a fair bit but I do think most of the others will play every week in the backline baring injury or loss of form. Webster will play in the backline and that makes it younger. That will be 3 out of the 6 under 25 and also Fisher will miss some games with injury if he continues the run he has had over the last few years.

Height, speed, tackling machine, brilliant overhead mark and spoil, kicking not nearly as bad as many suggest despite the odd mega shank. A gun.
Riewoldt
Montagna
Armitage
Steven
Dempster
Roberton
Bruce
Fisher
Weller
Webster
Carlisle

First 5 selected!

Name the 6 he stomps
Ok maybe I was being a bit generous with top 5, but for mine he is well ahead of Roberton, Weller, Webster, and potentially Fisher and Joey (in 2016).

All this is on the presumption of full fitness and a solid pre season. His midfield/wing work is outstanding and will be a major weapon for us in 2016.

Maybe we will try Savage in the midfield?

Roberton finished 6th in the B & F.
Saying Gilbo is 'well-ahead' of him is off the charts crazy.

They are if 18-21yo players are gun AFlL players

Of course they are not

One on one
Gilbert and Geary would flog nearly all of those named
They
Are tougher, fitter, stronger and at this stage better than any of the kids... It's why they been on an AFL list for 8-10 years and have played 150 games

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

They may well end up better players... But not ATM

I think McKenzie will be excellent eventually

Newnes is already very good

Billings and Lonie will be A Grade or Elite

For a few reasons I rate Minchington
Webster is a hit and miss kick... He is dodgy with the ball

Wright, Murdoch, Templeton all have. Attributes but clear weaknesses

Robertson is a solid (Ray type) foot soldier

The boy just drafted

Savage is not great in contested situations

Shenton is just a back up... With some attributes
